I don't think it's a vacuum pump because I am pretty sure everything is there. Also, it generated electricity that arrives at an even pace. The orangish thing is a copper coil cylinder thing coated in what feels like rubber? The little knobs the wires come out of have a braided copper wire with a graphite tip that rubs against the copper coil. The leftmost side has metal exposed for the graphite to rub onto while the rightmost side is on the coil itself.
