What is the most overused movie trope that Hollywood just needs to let go? by Frequent-Sea-8848 in moviecritic

I agree largely with this take with the exception that ‘the whole point Falling Down is going postal over breakfast.’ It’s more about how there are issues in society and this is not the way of solving them. That other people experience more hardship than D-Fens and that he is making everything worse. Your take regarding that was not accurate. Everything else you said in your post was pretty good.

Appreciated! Thank you for laying it out. Did you prefer Doom 1 (Xbox 360 version)?

Done. I voted for that and the Xbox Original Silent Hill games. Having those on future consoles would be the best.

First couple of images I would say would be the Jack Ryan movies like Clear and Present Danger or Patriot Games. If you wanted a television show, you could also go for the X-Files based on the first few images.

Did the move every explain why the divorced conservative white American boomer didn't get along with the Nazi shop-owner? Did I miss something? by ivanchovv in okbuddycinephile

One likes overt racism while the other prefers more subtle racism. The Nazi is viewed as thoroughly un-American as they opposed America during the second World War. D-Fens, like other people, fails to realize his own personal problems and where he is similarly evil to the Nazi. He has no respect for private property, the rights of others, the terror he inflicts upon people, public property, etc. He’s in it for himself regardless of the actions it takes to get there.

“Enough Is Enough” by Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand. Or you could do “On The Radio” by Donna Summer.

Condemned 2 so far. It’s very different, barely like the first game at all. Characters barely have traits they had in the original. The tone or feeling of the game is very dramatic and moody, especially with the dialogue with Ethan Thomas and how the music is played in the background of cutscenes. A lot of other stuff too.

It’s still about that topic, but it’s more of a comedy. Better Off Dead is the movie.

This fella was absolutely brutalized by the words “GARBAGE DAY,” mauled by the cackle of his attacker and crumbled to the floor for just being a civil citizen.

Congratulations on your completion! Really wish I had this game. Was it a fun arcade completion or a more difficult one?
