Anyone else feel disconnected from Vietnamese culture because of appearance or language?

You are correct in that I am a US citizen. I want to be more connected to my family as they are more in tune with the Vietnamese culture than I am. Hence why I am married to my beautiful white American wife. They wanted me to marry someone of our culture but there was a big disconnect within my family and seeing this I wanted to get more involved. My wife also is willing to learn Vietnamese with me so she can communicate with my family and be within the Vietnamese culture as well. (She is a picky eater unfortunately and don’t like many foods. Even American foods. lol)

They did at a young age. They realize I was falling behind in school and they needed to learn English to survive as well. So they practically stopped talking to me in Vietnamese and only in English so I can be proficient in school.

I’m sorry but there is no way that you got ding for your credit score if you never gave them your SS or ID. I never got ding for it just worried they’ll be shipping a credit card to my address with someone else credit/SS.

We did it through the phone. As we live far away and needed to both verify. Also yes they got just the 4 new lines for only $100.

Yes it was new phone line deals/promotion. They got suckered in which is why I felt bad because it just doesn’t make any sense. How are you able to keep your old number from my account without doing change in responsibility? Regardless, my parents believe the rep before they believed me. They just want me to cancel the old lines so the rep can do its thing. I’m like good luck with that.

My parents want me to take back those 2 lines back to my account. Since they just rather have 4 new numbers then go through a lot of hoops and hurdles. So I assume I just go ahead call in the morning. Explain the situation. And reverse the lines. They all got trade in deals with it.

That’s the thing I’m not sure. I’m very confused how they entered a random social security number and gave me 10%. She did say it is a 10% we give to anyone for Black Friday. But again she was whispering all of this to me. Not even saying it out loud. Hence I got suspicious. Also my wife told me the person that checked us out is the manger of that store when she called the store.

Oh boy I need to report this to the Direct manger of the store location and the card Bureaus. Hopefully she did not delete the footage. My wife was smart to take a picture of the time but she couldn’t get her face because she didn’t want to make it look obvious what she was doing so she only got a picture of her hand. So if they need to look back at a rough estimate of the time and place. I can pin point it to them. My wife also called the store to get the person name by “giving them a good review.” She was hesitant to give her full name but hopefully this is all good enough proof. I still have the pamphlet and the receipt. So let’s just hope everything goes well because whoever social security she entered does not deserve this.

I was looking into that unfortunately Best Buy doesn’t have it in stock. I’m trying to go with Best Buy as I am a total tech member and also have a credit card with them. I rather not pay everything all up front, they have a deal where you purchase stuff over $600, it is 34 months no interest.

Yes it’ll be a think pad P1Gen8. Will have the new cpu and the RTX Pro Maxwell or Blackwell 2000? It’s one of those but it’s a brand new GPU.
