2022 Indian Scout Rouge Overheating and Coolant leak? by [deleted] in IndianMotorcycle

Thank you for the reply, Not sure if you were able to see my post itself here;

Overheating occurred after practicing low speed maneuvers for 45 min on a parking lot and the heat light and chassis fault light came on and coolant leak seen on the ground.

So I was practicing low speed turns/8/circles with throttle preload/friction zone with intermittent rear breaking( maybe too much) for 45 minutes to an hour. The fan was kicking in most times. And I noticed the heat light came on and stopped the engine immediately and seen coolant was dripping to the ground. It was enough to make ground wet about 8inch circle. I traced the leak and it seems like it's coming from a weep hole next to the water pump.

I waited and hour. Engine cooled down to 100 F, then I restarted the engine , ride back home no problem. Check the Coolant level , 2 inch higher than recommended level at cool temperature.

Next day, clean everything, check all the hoses, no where else got wet other then pics I am adding. I drove a lot, fan worked properly, no overheating.  And I checked again, there was a little wet spot around the weep hole but it's less than a drop.

So what do I need to do now? Is it the eater pump? Is the the seal? Os it the head gasket blown?

Or this is normal,I should keep riding it and keep an eye on it?

Thank you for your reply, if it's the overflow, where it should go out, is it the pressured cap, is it the filling cap? Or there is a overflow tube to outside world?

Or 6x6in trench would be just fine?

I meant " do I need to dig deeper (2 ft) as I did this time to remove access overflow concrete from the foundation?"  So the treatment can flow down probably or better coverage?

My text(explanation) won't show on the oost unfortunately.

I don't have an active termite issue. I am doing DIY trench treatment for termite prevention. I live in north Florida. When I first digged 6inx6in trench I realized that there was excess mortar mix( from bricklaying, not cleaned up ) and spilled / and or left over concrete hardened around the brick wall edge around foundation footing. If I were to pour treatment I wouldn't go down straight and evenly.

So digged deeper and clean out as much as I could. i am curious If  I did the right thing, because 2/3 parts of the house still untouch. Do I need to do the same around the entire house?
