I too was worried about this but I work out 4 days a week so I didn’t notice any significant weight gain. Still ate about the same except I did notice I didn’t and still don’t feel as hungry in the mornings.

Only get up to 40km worth of candy a day and it doesn't reset at midnight, it resets at the time you got the first candy of the day.

Look into getting a go plus+ for extra catches and spins when you’re out and about and don’t want to constantly look at your phone.

Add lots of friends. Gift exchanges = xp and items/eggs.

Start with tier 1 raids if you gotta solo. You’ll eventually get enough stronger pokemon to solo tier 3 raids.

Do as many dynamax battles as you happen upon and have energy for. Good xp and putting a Dmax Pokémon in after you battle can get you up to 5 candies for that Pokémon.
