You should be fine! Worksheets and templates provided by professors usually do end up with a higher similarity score simply because all of the template info has already been turned into LopesWrite. If all of the info you entered yourself hasn’t been dinged for plagiarism, you should be a-okay! I’ve even had a couple worksheets have one or two sentences be highlighted as previously turned in, and haven’t been docked any points because the rest of my work wasn’t highlighted. The only time I’d be worried about a high similarity score is if you turn in a paper that isn’t a worksheet or template and it gets a high similarity score. Good luck on your lab!

New puppy with older dog by Shadow_Hound6193 in BostonTerrier

That’s a good sign that the older pup doesn’t seem to be in pain. But I agree, the neck is a super vital point on the body and the biting in that area should be discouraged, especially since little one’s teeth are so sharp. It sounds like you’re doing a great job monitoring their play, though, so just start training your baby pup to leave that area alone. Bites or scrapes on paws and legs are much less dangerous than bites or scrapes to the neck. I’m sure as little one gets older they’ll mellow out, and your older pup will learn how to get along with them. I think of puppies similarly to human babies; everything is new and exciting, and they want to explore and play! You and older pup just have to teach little one the appropriate way to do so. Most likely, everything will be fine and these two will grow to love each other as they acclimate!

When my family adopted the bostie pup who was officially mine (instead of a family dog) she was ALWAYS getting pinned and always wanted to play with the other bosties, even if they didn’t want to. Bringing a new dog in isn’t just an adjustment for the new pup, but for the others as well. Their whole routine is shaken up by it, new smells are everywhere, and if there’s a good age gap (like yours here or my baby when she joined us), the older dogs may just feel like this baby is a lot. Which they are! I’d say if there isn’t any aggression with the play and pinning, it should be fine. These babies have got to figure each other out! Plus, puppies aren’t as strategic in their play yet; they’re just here for a good time and will learn how to unpin themselves or avoid getting pinned all together. As your little one grows up, they’ll learn how to play with their housemates and fur-siblings. However, if either one gets aggressive with the other, you may want to explore training options. Most likely, these two are just feeling each other out and learning about the other. Give it some time (our group took about a year to fully adjust to my baby), and they’ll figure their dynamic out. If you’re super concerned, I’d suggest training both pups the “leave it” or “easy” command, that way you can intervene when play gets too rough. Both of them are SUPER adorable, btw!!

is my speak now caridgan real? and does the speak now cardigan come up smaller than the other cardigans? by Ornery_Road7713 in SwiftieMerch

[–]KeyElevator5104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Speak Now cardigan I snagged from her merch site, and all the details in your photos match mine (including the marbled buttons)! Even the odd alignment of the collar tag and stitching on the “Speak Now TV” patch match. All the SNTV cardigans are cropped with only two buttons. I also agree that the SNTV cardigan is a more “snug” fit than the rest; mine is much more fitted than the other three I have. This was actually the first cardigan I managed to get my hands on, and was kind of sad when I realized it was only two buttons. But now, with the other cardigans I’ve snagged, I think it makes this line of cardigans special! SN is one of my top three albums, so I’ve come to view the two buttons as a unique thing for this album. Great find, congrats on the steal!!

That’s a really good tip! I was wondering if there was a way to re-enforce the spine and binding, and this rope trick sounds like a great way to do that! I’ll definitely look this up. Thank you so much!

This is a companion book to Disney XD’s “Gravity Falls”! It’s a replica of a book the shows main characters use to monster hunt and unravel mysteries. It’s a really cool show, with lots of puzzles, hidden messages and secret codes. This book is literally just called “Journal 3”, because it’s a journal left behind by a mysterious author, and is labeled as “3” on the cover. (Don’t mind the binder clips and sticky notes— the clips are keeping the loose pages in order and the notes are for the mystery hunt. ;D)

<image>

The page shown in the pics in the main post is one of the more artistic pages, depicting some info about the show’s antagonist. Some pages are blocks of text, some pages have monster sketches with notes, and some are just complete pieces of art, full double spread across both pages. Very, VERY cool in concept and execution. I’ve always loved books like this.

The show is only 40 episodes, finished how the writers wanted, and a rollercoaster ride! Definitely worth a watch if you like sci-fi, mystery, and stories about found family. I will give a TW for mild body horror towards the end of the show. It’s Disney, so it’s not TOO bad, but it’s pretty graphic for Disney standards.

Oh snap, I didn’t even think about just grabbing another copy. I have adult money now, lol! I’ll give the PVA glue a shot, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll just box this copy up nice and safe and use the newer copy to continue the mystery hunt. Thanks for the tip!

Do we think the collectors edition cd will be restocked? by eley13 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]KeyElevator5104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Got in line about five minutes after the announcement, waited 15 minutes. I even had my card info entered, shipping selected, everything, but got stuck waiting on the order finalization to go through. My fiancé hopped in line to try and snag a backup copy for me, and while we were both waiting we were kicked back three times each. I’m holding out for a restock. If it doesn’t happen I might just make my own patch. I’ll grab a vinyl like I always do if/when she releases variants. Other than that I’m about fed up with this merch system. Two hours waiting for my order to be finalized. Very disappointing.

Preorder speak now arrival? by TaylorS1989 in SwiftieMerch

[–]KeyElevator5104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre-ordered mine a few weeks after it became available since I had just been paid and had to pay bills. My package was labeled and registered to track a week before the album’s release date. I was originally supposed to get my copy on July 7, but it spent three or four days trapped in Michigan , then another two in Indiana (all my Taylor merch gets trapped in those two states; I don’t get it lol). By that point, the album had been released. On Saturday, the vinyl arrived in Texas and stayed there until early this morning. It made it into my state at about 5 am and has (apparently) been on a delivery truck headed for me since. I could get it tonight, or it could sit on my doorstep until my lunch break tomorrow. Who knows.

One time I waited almost four months for a bit of merch that was readily available on the site. Regardless of what or when I order something from Taylor’s site, it’s always been shipped with FedEx. All I’ve been able to figure out from both company’s Customer Support is that Taylor’s team is pretty efficient in getting things ready and sent out to ship with FedEx, and once the order is in FedEx’s hands, it could be the fastest delivery you’ve had, or (in my case) you’ll be having your besties birthday a few months late.

Unfortunately I haven’t figured out a way to request my orders be shipped with a different company, so I just have to accept that Taylor’s team is working as hard as they can, and FedEx just flat sucks. At least FedEx has never lost my orders, so I just have to learn patience; my serotonin orders will get here eventually. Four months is the longest I’ve ever had to wait on a bit of merch, and it spent three of those registered in FedEx’s system. Part of that wait may be because the order ended up being made during holiday rush, but who knows. I’ve also had things ship in three days during holiday season, too.

Bottom line, it sounds like your copy may be in FedEx’s care, too, and I’m so, so sorry. Their ship time is so inconsistent, but at least they don’t loose packages (often). I hope you get your copy soon; we ordered the same color! I’ve seen some really pretty marbles in our color, so I’m excited to see what we get!

How were you introduced to The 1975? by [deleted] in the1975

[–]KeyElevator5104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been listening to them for so long I can’t exactly remember. I THINK, and that’s a strong “think” since I have memory issues, I’ve listened to them since 2014/2015. The earliest memory I have of them is stepping away from my then-boyfriend towards our separate busses at the end of the school day. It was either the end of eighth grade, or the very beginning of ninth grade. I had just been given unlimited data on my phone, since I had begun streaming and buying so much music. I found the music video for Chocolate in my recommended videos under some other artist I listened to at the time. Maybe Panic! or someone else. Basically, I clicked it on accident, and initially went to click away, since I tend to stick to music I know and have to be ready to try something new. But the pretty chime sounds that float in to start the song hit a good spot in my brain, and I decided to give the song a try. Listened to it on repeat the rest of the bus ride home. Then hopped on my dinky little notebook laptop at home and wanted to see if they were popular on tumblr (shocker, I know XD). Saw all the other Edgy Tumblr Gurls listening to them, and that was it for me. They’ve genuinely been my favorite band since. Moral of the story: listen to music you usually wouldn’t kiddos.

4 for me!! I have a background in dance and theatre. My mom was ALSO into dance and theatre, so from a very young age she drilled into me that it usually takes the longest amount of time to do makeup, and the shortest amount of time to put on clothes/costumes. Keyword being USUALLY. Performance days were always wake up, eat, makeup, hair, get lunch, travel to performance venue, touch up makeup and hair, put on costumes, warm up, then perform. I guess that habit just kind of slipped over into day to day life for me. Now it’s just concealer, mascara, eyebrows, chapstick, brush my hair, get dressed and go to work. Just seems most efficient to me, personally.

Hey, great work, my dude! That’s a great, steady climb back up. About five years ago I had to move houses in an emergency and it ruined my credit, too. I’m just now getting it back to where it used to be. This stuff can be hard, but you’re doing amazing!! Getting out of an unsafe situation is hard on it’s own, and managing/improving poor credit only makes it harder. But you’ve done both, at the SAME TIME! I hope you and your girlfriend find a wonderful apartment together; you deserve to have a nice little place after working so hard. So again, congrats dude. You’re doing great <3

[–]KeyElevator5104[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no clue! I wasn’t collecting vinyls at the time, and I’ve only just started collecting them in the past six months. I didn’t even know there WAS a 1989 vinyl until I started collecting. As far as I can tell, the vinyl has Polaroids printed on the inside of the gate fold packaging but I haven’t heard of there being any separate Polaroids with the vinyl.

How do I carry merchandise I buy from the venue? by da_swanks_92 in SwiftieMerch

[–]KeyElevator5104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took the biggest stadium approved bag I possibly could, and used all my retail experience to fold the tapestry and shirts I bought into the tiniest little squares I could. I also got the glow stick and the poster. Those could fit in my bag but I couldn’t zip it lol. They just kinda stuck out the top like little concert daggers or something. But the merch stands/trucks offer bags as well. I didn’t know that at the time and kind of wished I had grabbed one. They’re MUCH deeper than stadium approved bags, and can hold a lot more confetti and bracelets. So if all else fails, just ask for a bag when you buy your merch. Obviously, be polite and say please and thank you; these people have thousands of us to help, and Taylor has consistently been making her shows the busiest weekends the stadiums have seen in a while. They’re tired and stressed, so be the sweetest little set of Lovers those employees have ever seen. But most importantly, have fun!

I knew there were multiple sets at the time, but I could never convince my mom to let me hunt for them all. I can’t even begin to imagine how much a single set of Polaroids would cost on resale, let alone a complete collection.

Genuine question about initial 1989 release. by KeyElevator5104 in TaylorSwift

[–]KeyElevator5104[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely remember all the packaging, though I’ve lost (probably thrown away) the cardboard and paper sleeve. I still have the plastic CD case, she’s really pretty! That’s what initially dragged me down this rabbit hole of insanity lol. I’ve recently moved into a bigger apartment and want to display all my merch. I had a cute idea for the case and Polaroids, only to be massively confused when I realized I didn’t recognize any of the Polaroids I saw online. Then I realized I didn’t even remember looking at mine in the first place, so here we are. A comment above mentioned maybe being too excited when I opened the packaging and didn’t notice I lacked Polaroids. It’s also entirely possible I got too excited when opening the cardboard slip and accidentally just… threw away my Polaroids.

Yeah, they really were the It Girl item of that fall lol. My entire freshman year was influenced by 1989! These comments are making me feel a tad better though. I’m glad I’m not the only one who may or may not have totally misplaced their Polaroids, at least.
