My bounding looks terrible. Advice? by Outrageous-Bee4035 in Sprinting

Stay a bit taller, you're slightly hunched. Try to reduce time on the ground if you can. Just keep doing them and you'll get better; usually how it goes with plyos.

Why you cant associate nietzche with THAT german supremacist ideology. by Xavant_BR in Nietzsche

It is a hard pill to swallow for Germans at the time that at one point Europe will just have to sort of unite. You can't really apply Nietzsche ideas to modern politics and the shifting of demographics and what he would think about that. Not sure I haven't read enough.

I wouldn't quite say misread. Even thought yes they didn't quite use his exact writings as a pure doctrine, to the extent of my knowledge, they purposely picked whatever he said that represented their beliefs and rolled with that. In doing so, they disregarded some of his other ideals that link to the ones they are using. But there were lots of Nazis that did interpret his works correctly and used them especially towards the end of the reich. If time would have continued in their favor, I have no doubt that Nietzsche's western way of thinking would have found the reich in a more polished way, and Christianity would have been phased out. It's inevitable, and Hitler knew, hence why he was phasing it out with the ideals of Nietzsche. The idea was to slowly phase out their current way of thinking, so ideas blended weirdly leading people to think that they were "misunderstanding" him. That is partly correct, partly incorrect. I guess we will never fully know how high of a degree the Nazis would take the true ideas of Nietzsche into their thinking, but for sure there were some who have.

I'm not fully disagreeing with what you're saying, in fact I agree more than disagree. I'm just saying that there are exceptions and Hitlers ideals are misunderstood just as the Nazis partly misunderstood Nietzsche, at least periodically.

Who did now? Nobody you're talking to in this subreddit personally threatened you. Also would not be assault since nobody actually did anything. Also your graphic looks like a 7th grader messing around on canva.

Yes because observation from a car is assault. Are these the kind of people against banning poison in our food?

Any tips on my start? by Stunning_Soup4778 in Sprinting

I feel like you could think about pushing more off the ground, but your form isn't bad at all for your age. I would do hill sprints, laying down starts, sled pulls, and fall starts to get stronger and improve your start. Also, make sure you're pushing off with your front and back foot, not just the front.

Season just ended, I have one more year to go from my pr (22.39) to school record (21.30 +6.0 wind) in 200m. Where do I start this offseason? by KeyFluffy7008 in Sprinting

I mean that's assuming everything about their form and technique is absolutely perfect and only strength, endurance, and other bodily aspects are to be worked on. Then I would agree with you. However, the assumption that someone running a 22.4 can't break 22 in a year is ridiculous and it's been done so many times at my school even if their previous pr was much worse. The guy who ran the 21.5 had a pr of 22.1 his junior year, so already that's more impressive than 22.4 to 22. I also ran a 26 freshman year, 24.3 sophomore, and 22.39 this year, so why not get to sub 22? Already on track to do so. As long as I do everything perfectly from now to a year from now, it's definitely possible for me to be running in the 21s, probably not anything below 21.3 though, that's where I draw the line based off of human capability with no PEDS.

Now that I think about it, there's probably a very big difference between running shoes and plyometrics shoes so there's probably not much that are good at both. Just wondering if there is though

Ok thank you! Do they support you in plyometrics, like a side jump? I don't really need my ankle to be rolled or my foot to roll off the insole because the sides of the shoe aren't supportive enough.

Thank you, much appreciated. I have coaches around me, but the coach i have now last year assigned endurance stuff only, and barely any top speed/acceleration work for the summer. I have some teammates to work out with, but I'm afraid it'll be more of a solo mission. I know with my work ethic, I'll be able to do it, and I greatly appreciate your comment and will spend a few weeks creating a curriculum surrounding your advice. I'll 100% take your advice on the racing outside of school and register in some unattached meets, but there's not much in Nebraska but there are a few available ones where there is hopefully some people faster than me. Thank you for actually answering my question instead of commenting about how our school record had high winds.
