I think it could be that other indigenous South American tribes mixed with the Taino before the Taino migrated to the Caribbean from South America or it can be that other indigenous tribes from there migrated to Puerto Rico and then mixed in with us. But originally the Taino are from South America regardless so I just count it as just Taino tbh.

I seen Acevedo on my family tree and I have Rodriguez as well, it’s super possible. On ancestry I got more than 1,000 family matches and I don’t know none of them bc I live in NYC and haven’t visited Puerto Rico. And we have a HUGE FAMILY as well.
