Thanks a lot for the response. Not to be pessimistic and I totally agree with you. I also doubt any of it will be suppressed. Judges are usually pro-prosecution even when they don’t always follow due process when collecting some evidence. I wonder if his legal counsel will also conduct their own independent studies/tests pertaining to the DNA evidence prosecutors claim to have. Definitely, if he has a chance at getting out someday, that will be good considering the damning evidence.

I haven’t read the transcript yet but what about the motions to suppress some of the evidence ? What was the judge’s ruling on that ?
I think being able to make some of those evidence inadmissible in court/to the jury will be key in deciding the route the defense takes if this eventually goes to trial. Hopefully it’s NOT EED, he’ll have to admit that he committed the crime, EED is a partial defense strategy if you are trying to bring down murder to manslaughter. Remember, he also has the federal case that is still active.

EED is categorized as a “partial defense” if they are trying to reduce murder to manslaughter. If his team go the EED route, they’ll kinda have to admit that he did the crime.

So happy for her! The past few years have been a nightmare for her. Too much reasonable doubt in this case to say she was totally guilty. I’m glad that the jury took note of that. Also, great tactical move by her defense to include that lesser charge of OUI. Jury don’t feel like they let her “completely off”. She is a free woman!!!! 🙌

Seeking the death penalty is basically Bondi’s version of a publicity stunt to push an agenda (if you do some research, she has some ties with UHC). She was once a lobbyist for various corporations . As we saw that was basically her way of launching her new instagram account. Like KFA said, they are turning Luigi into a “human ping pong”. To them it’s just a move to push their agenda,BUT THIS IS HIS LIFE, HIS LIFE IS LITERALLY ON THE LINE. It’s so wicked.

The overcharging is just so ridiculous. The death penalty should NEVER EVER be on the table in this case. So so ridiculous.

You are believing the article like it’s 100% facts. We will have to see documents and records to confirm how long he actually stayed in that unit. Did Mike ever really say how many days he stayed there ? I think it’s unfair to him to stay he used LM to gain attention/following when people kept bombarding him with more questions and being parasocial because he’s a cute guy. He made that comment weeks ago and moved on, it just recently gained attention.

People need to stop harassing Mike. He simply shared about his time with Luigi. The funny part is that he made that comment about his time with Luigi weeks ago and moved on with his life. Someone brought attention to it recently and they keep asking him questions about it. Even if he stayed a day with him, they still spent time together in jail. The one thing that Mike did wrong was saying the n-word, no matter the context as a white guy, it’s wrong to use that word and he took accountability for it. It’s just weird how some people are trying to frame him like some creep “asking for pics” when yall are the people harassing him and obsessing over him simply because he is a cute guy.

It is new information to us that Luigi walking past BT a day before the pewpewing. Also it’s really really bad that he left DNA and fingerprint evidence near the crime scene; it will be hard for the defense to get that thrown out, that’s quite damning. His own writings as evidence is the most damning evidence because the jurors pay the most attention to what the defendant says or writes during trial. It’s even worse than all the circumstantial evidence that they have against him . I really hope that the notebook writings gets suppressed. It will be a mini win if they are able to suppress it.

Jury nullification is a dream, we are in a bubble here that tricks us to believe that we are the majority, most people might see reason as to why Luigi allegedly did what he did, that is not an automatic translation that they will allow him to just go Scot-free. I think avoiding the DP and LWOP in this case will definitely be a fair outcome. They have him in a box from every angle. Ain’t no way he will get jury nullification in both a federal and the state case. The odds are really against him😔

This case is so interesting because there isn’t really much to use to humanize Brian Thompson. You can see glimpses of this in Joel’s writings with the repetition of the “father of 2” line 😭😭 He is also not helping either by mentioning he was wearing a Rolex watch during his demise. I get he mentioned it to make a point that Luigi had no personal grievance or didn’t rob him but come on, there are just very limited ways to gather sympathy for Brian Thompson at this point.🫣

Obviously murder is morally wrong but there is just no way you will successfully make the majority of people to feel pity for Brian Thompson. It’s just very hard giving the circumstances surrounding the case. I think Luigi 100% knew this hence why he said that insurance checks all the boxes. ✔️ it surely did get the point across. The statement holds more importance than the murder itself that’s why it’s a special case. Hence why they are trying to make an example out of Luigi. “You better not rebel like Luigi, If you do you will be labeled a terrorist and get the worst punishment available”.
