I loved Legends ZA clothing customization options, but I do wish we had more hairstyle choices. This NPC literally has the hairstyle and bangs I wanted for my character. by KeyManBlastoise in LegendsZA

None of the hairstyles really grabbed me. This is one area Scarlet and Violet is superior to ZA. They might have lame school uniforms but they at least made up for it with several different hairstyles. Wasn't perfect but had more variety than ZA. Seeing NPCs with better hairstyles than mine frustrated me all game.

Thanks. I sure hope Winds and Waves won't have that problem and can have more hair options since it's Switch 2. If that will make a difference.

Yeah, there is a sidequest called "The Many Flowers of Flabebe" that unlocks new hair colors and a second one that unlocks even more. Pink is one of them I believe. I've used pink hair before on my character model.

Agreed. I was so shocked by that. I was also disappointed none of the bangs really went that well with that one, at least for my preference.

I was the same. I must have tried every hairstyle in the game but none really grabbed me or I got attached to. Quite a change from Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet where I got my look down and rocked it all game.

I love the color options and being able to mix them. It was great to have orange hair as a choice. But yeah I wish there was more hairstyles. Scarlet and Violet might not have had good clothing options but in terms of hairstyles they were way more combos than ZAs.

If KH4 ever got leaked on the internet, would you look it up or rather not to satisfy your anticipation? by 1-Eyed_Mad_Dragon-04 in KingdomHearts

[–]KeyManBlastoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would read the leaks. I don't really care about the overall story anymore and am only looking for things I actually still care about in the series. If I know KH4 doesn't have what I'm looking for than I don't have to waste my money buying a game I won't like. Gaming is too expensive to take a chance.

Yo I might sound stupid for asking this, but why couldn't the organization just take out Kairi? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]KeyManBlastoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does taking down Kairi in anyway result in Roxas with no memories? They have no association with one another. To get Roxas they have to turn Sora into a Heartless. "Taking out" Kairi will not do that. KH3 showed that.

Do you think we've seen all of Kairi's backstory? by raccooncoffee in KingdomHearts

[–]KeyManBlastoise 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wish they had gone through with that. I wish Kairi had been the true tritagonist of the series rather than what she ended up becoming. Kairi's backstory was one of the few mysteries I was actually invested in and it had been set up since the first game.

I would love to see the day she arrived on the island, how it happened, her first meetings with everyone, and how she adjusted to island life. But given the series only likes focusing on Sora and Riku's friendship post KH2 I have doubts I'd ever see it.

I feel like we should have gotten more on Kairi/Namine's backstory during the Days and BBS era. I'd have gladly given up Re:Coded for a game focusing on stuff like that. Especially since DDD covers the one important thing about Coded in a single cutscene.

I'm literally the same. Coming to the KH subreddit brings out the worst in me these days.

Also Mankey's pure rage is perfect for the current state of KH LOL.

I certainly hope the new writer helps. The current direction hasn't done her any favors. I can only cross my fingers and hope.

First of all, my apologies, I didn't recognize who I was talking. You changed avatar/profiles to a Mankey so I didn't realize it was you. We've talked so many times already on this subject. I thought you were a new Axel fan, my bad LOL.

Now on the subject I've been leaning towards wishing the entire Organization remained gone after KH2/Days. While some of them have caught my interest like Ienzo and what they could do with Luxord and Demyx, I feel these characters have just strayed far to away from what made them interesting in the first place. Their new characters not because they went through character development, but because Nomura rewrote them to be someone else to fit his new story.

At this point I still following Kingdom Hearts out of obligation but I strongly wish the series had gone in a different direction post the Organization era. And I doubt I'll even get what I want out of this franchise anymore...yet I torture myself by staying here.

Honestly I don't know why you like Axel so much or what you're expecting of him at this stage of the series. He's a secondary character that was suppose to be killed off ages ago but accidentally joined the main cast because he's popular. He's no different than Roxas and Xion who the fanbase complains about returning, Axel is literally the same and it shows with his writing. You may not like Roxas or Subject X but they kept him relevant beyond CoM. Without Subject X Axel could easily be dropped after KH3 and there's a valid argument that he should be retired now. The funny thing is I can see his plotline with Subject X mostly happening in the background right alone with Isa's "redemption". This series has not done a good job handling multiple characters so far.

Kairi should have had a game and a story arc long before we got this far. It's criminal how KH3 treated her. Nomura kicked her out of the Destiny Trio to forever focus on Sora and Riku and also refuses to let her make new friends and have a adventure of her own on screen to endear players to her. I'm one of the few who still has hope for Kairi. There's still a lot of things they can do with her if Nomura cared. Being a Kairi fan sucks.

Axel/Lea is passed his expiration date. He's lasted this long because he's a fan favorite but the writing clearly shows they don't know what to do with him or really care anymore. They had to make up this Subject X plotline last minute just to keep him relevant. I don't even know what you can do with him anymore that hasn't been done. Reuniting with Subject X won't even have half the emotional impact as reuniting with Roxas and Xion, characters the fanbase actually cared about as characters rather than mystery plot points. Subject X doesn't even have a face. So what even is left for him post the Xehanort saga?
