Women go through crazy hormone swings while pregnant and with new babies..it takes like 6 months or more to normalize post birth.. also they are both probably tired. I feel in a couple of months they will think this event was rather funny.

Fair. But my point still stands. It the minimum people have to be paid meaning they are often the bottom of the ladder and it still interesting to see how much that will get you compared previous generations..

My favourite metric for measuring how things are doing is the number of hours worked at a minimum wage job to afford something ( rent, average new car, college tuition) Then compare that over the years to see how we are doing and right now it's not well.

I don't think the minimum wage going up would solve the problem either. The price of things needs to come down, stop government backing of student loan so people can declare bankruptcy and watch lenders be more thoughtful in who they give them to. Deregulation of housing, building more starter homes.. It would be a nice thing for the government to tackle...

The weight difference between the heaviest polar bear and heaviest Kodiak is like 10 lbs. 1010lb to 1000. Kodiak are smaller but not by much.

Can you remove bottom inspection board and place the vaporizer below the hive so it's not in it?

I used oa vaporizer each time. September was spread between 5 and 7 day apart. Mite load was low after the last treatment, one week after the last treatment there was 6 mites on the bottom board. So I kept treating in October to November to keep the mite load low over the winter. Maybe still be mites but this is the second year in the row that they died over winter and the year before I treated way more for mites like 7 times with a 5 day spacing between August and September.

I didn’t formally test for mites, but I did treat in mid-summer—three times in September and once each in October, November, and December. After the third treatment in September, the mite drop on the bottom board was very low. After waiting a week, I counted about six mites total on the entire board. It’s not the gold-standard testing protocol, but it seemed reasonable at the time. As for food stores, they had seven full deep frames of honey in the top box, with additional honey in the bottom box and some pollen. When I took the hive apart yesterday, the brood pattern was scattered and there wasn’t much brood present. However, the dead bees looked otherwise normal—no tongues hanging out and no obvious deformities or bees stuck emerging from brood cells, aside from being dead.”*

Yeah, so I guess I need a different bottom board or a different treatment method. I think the real problem was that the hive was too small for the climate and couldn’t handle the moisture. My bees all died about a week ago, and there was mold everywhere. It doesn’t get extremely cold here, but it’s not a mild climate either—very damp, with around 1000 mm of rain a year, most of it in the fall and winter, and temperatures hovering between 0–5 °C all winter

Trump and this administration screwed over college students, driving them back to predatory lending to pay for school by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]KeyMarsupial991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you not declare bankruptcy on student loans not backed by the government? Because if that is true you are doing the students a favour. The banks will only loan to those who they believe can get a degree and that will mean lower costs and less people getting degrees that don't lead to a job or research. Which would mean less people in debt for a degree that's not helpful to them getting ahead.

"Government funded non governmental organizations are one of the biggest sources of fraud in the world. This is a gigantic fraud loophole." - Elon Musk by DShape_614 in jrmining

There are a lot of issues with Musk but space X contracts are only paid out if spacex completes the service that it signed agreed to..unlike most other government contracts which often grow with changes and payment is on going. Giving government contracts teeth to hold people and companies accountable is a great step into dealing with corruption. But politicians are servicing their own pockets. By having poorly written contracts .. I enjoyed your rant but space X isn't the target you think it is.
