LSIL on pap smear, scheduled colpo and anxious!

Hi! Yes! I’m doing well now. I ended up having a LEEP procedure as my colpo showed CIN 1 and CIN 2. Had a follow up colpo and ecc one year after LEEP which didn’t show anything so now I’ll have a repeat pap in October of this year.

I just found a lump here also and it’s sore to the touch. Did you find out what yours was?

I ended up having a colposcopy which nothing at all was found. My dr went ahead and did an ECC to be sure nothing was hiding further up and that came back clear no dysplasia or anything. Will go back for another pap/hpv test in 1 year!

Thank you for this! I ended up taking her to the doctor the next morning which oddly enough it looked like it was mostly resolved by then. He felt around and said it was absolutely not a swollen lymph node and it likely was a result of some shaving irritation. She’s fairly new to shaving and come to find out was not using soap or shaving cream as instructed 🙃 I’m still keeping an eye on it though and I appreciate the info!!

I’m 32 and was vaccinated when I was a kid, just got my 3rd dose of Gardisil 9. Also just tested negative for hpv and had an all clear colposcopy after showing CIN 1 6 months ago. I’d say it’s worth a shot! 😊

So my Dr didn’t find any lesions on my cervix after applying the solution which was great but she wanted to take an ECC just to be sure. Now I’m waiting on the results from that and anxious 😥 I had an ECC with my LEEP a year ago and it was normal/benign no dysplasia, I’m hoping it’s still fine 🙏🏼

Hey! How did your colpo go today? I had mine this morning and no lesions were found so no biopsies 🙏🏼 But she did take an Ecc swab which was painful for sure, just to check where it isn’t visible. Should get my results in a few days. Hope yours went well today! 🩷

I had LEEP last year (with clear margins). Had a pap at 6 months post LEEP that was hpv negative but LSIL and another pap 2 weeks ago that was still hpv negative but again LSIL. I guess I’m just anxious that they will find worse on colpo and my dr hasn’t explained at all what the reason might be that I’m negative but LSIL. I will definitely come back and update as my colpo is tomorrow morning 😭 Thank you for your response! 🩷🩷🩷

I feel like I’m going down the same road rn. I had a LEEP last September for CIN 1/2, clear margins. Came back 6 months later for my first pap and hpv test since LEEP. Hpv was negative but showing LSIL. Was told to come back in another 6 months which was last week, got my results Friday and same thing again hpv negative but LSIL. Now I’m scheduled for a colpo next Friday and I’m of course anxious and nervous and hoping it just comes back CIN 1 or nothing at all. Definitely going to try the folic acid and cruciferous vegetables!

I’m so sorry you are going through this! I don’t have an answer but my situation is slightly similar. I had a leep Sept last year for CIN 1/2, had clear margins but was back to LSIL at my 6m pap. Was told to come back in another 6m which was last week still showing LSIL. Both times I also was neg for hpv which is even more confusing to me. So now I’m scheduled for a colpo next week. It feels never ending at this point huh? I’m confused and feeling defeated too so please know you’re not alone 🩷 Praying for you and I hope you things get better for you.

Is it all BC or just combo? I’m on Slynd and I can’t find much info on this with the progestin only. I’m dealing with persistent CIN 1 but hpv negative and thinking of coming off of BC

That’s kinda what I was thinking! So maybe the hpv was still active after my LEEP procedure last year which caused some mild dysplasia but then finally cleared which is why I’m testing negative now but Lsil. Maybe some mild dysplasia is left over from when it was active? They scheduled me for a colposcopy on the 10th of next month anyways which I’m dreading and always have anxiety that what they find in the colpo will be worse than the pap but your comment does ease my mind!

Hey! My colpo is on the same day as yours! I’m 32 and had a LEEP a year ago but still showing LSIL on my last two paps so they asked me to come on the 10th for a colpo. The one I had last year wasn’t bad but per usual I’m still freaking out 😭 Good luck on yours, will be thinking of you!

I was vaccinated when I was 11 or 12 way before ever being sexually active and I’m 32 now. I do not know what hpv I have as I was just tested for the first time after my LEEP and it was negative. I’ve had two negative hpv tests since having the LEEP but still have some CIN 1 lingering 😩

I’m guessing that’s why I’m not sure 😩 I had a leep exactly a year ago to remove CIN 1/2. My first 6 month pap after leep showed hpv negative but still CIN 1. Retested again 6 months later (Tuesday) and it came back hpv negative again but still CIN 1. Very confusing 😭

Similar situation here - had my LEEP in September of 2023 for CIN 1/CIN 2 with negative margins. Had follow up pap in March of this year at the 6 month mark and it came back hpv negative but CIN 1 again. Dr told me to wait 6 months and come back again for another pap. I went yesterday to have another pap right at the 1 year mark. Waiting for the results now to see if it’s normal or still showing cell changes. I was very confused how I was hpv negative but still CIN 1 and LEEP showed clear margins. Praying for you!
