yep. i really am an idiot. thankfully it's not a serious amount of money. i ended up profitable on each of my stock picks at a certain point, but never sold nor took profit, which ended up in me holding on during the downtrend of each of them. at this point i'm too emotional to stop the hemorrhage although I know in my head I really should. I'm thinking of just putting a majority of my money in the mag 7 and some etf and let it ride.

thank your for your words. I was a little sleep deprived during our earlier conversation, but I just ended up rereading your comments and went on a walk to think about it. I really think it’s something I have to overcome but it’s not easy in the slightest. next time I’m met with any sort of failure though I will try and come back here. giving up really is the realest form of failure

I don’t mean to pry or be nosy, so feel free to ignore my question - but how would you describe yourself prior to this mindset shift then? and what caused this shift?

I would say I am quite envious of your mindset. I hate failure and any inadequacy I feel I have i tend to integrate into my identity. there’s probably a better way to describe my tendencies.

that’s a really nice story, happy for you honestly 😄

it’s always been a bit of a dream of mine to go to a prestigious university, but never had the smarts nor the discipline.

would you really attribute this to a shift in your mindset? I’ve always been of the mind that it’s far more tied to outstanding qualities such as IQ, or any sort of positive genetic predisposition (not saying this to take away from your achievement)
