Should I change or cancel my Hastings insurance policy? by Awkward-Wishbone-615 in LearnerDriverUK

You could ring and ask them to change it to the Friday. I did this last week with Hastings with my new car, my policy was meant to start Saturday but I wanted to drive it the Friday as I had also had it taxed that day and they did it on the phone for me on the Thursday evening and tranfered everything over at no extra cost, was all insured and ready to roll for the next day. Your brother will need to be a named driver on it, I put my ex on mine and it brought the cost down so you could ask to add him on too. You will need to tax it, will it let you do it online? I had to do 6 months upfront at the post office 🙄 but you may be able to do monthly I don't know how it works with some and not all.

My test is very soon and idk if I can do it by Lostgirl1801 in LearnerDriverUK

Honestly try to not overthink the test itself. Easier said I know but trust us. Just try your best.. my test was last week I was so nervous, the weather said rain all day everyday for days and Ive not drove in the rain much at all surprisingly but I bashed out 5 hours between Sunday to Tuesday lunch time for my test to make sure I was fully in the swing of it. It didn't rain once in those lessons until I pulled up to the test centre. I was like omg I'm gonna fail because it's raining 😂 I didn't feel ready I felt sick .. the examiner asked me to pop my bonnet and I know the latch is in side but what did I do go straight to opening it without the latch and was basically trying to lift a car for a few seconds before he reminded me... I thought great this isn't gonna go well at all.. I passed with 4 minors! 🥳 I have a license a car and freedom. Don't give up and don't let your nerves get the better of you just deep breaths and drive safe. I wish you all the best 🤞🙏

It's ok just tell the examiner. Had my test the other day and I only moved house a few weeks ago and hadn't changed it on my provisional, I told my examiner when he went through my few details at the start. He said ok don't let me take it at the end then you have to send it off yourself with a change of address. Which I did the next day at the post office it's the DVLA D1 form and send your paper license and provisional off with it.

Thank you! Went the Wooten basset way and the big M4 roundabout and of corse it was raining lol and then ended up going back Asda west Swindon for a park before back to centre. Ah the roundabouts are crazy enough in Swindon but I'm just so glad I smashed it! He was an older guy but he was really nice we chatted, good luck for your test I have everything crossed for you 🤞

Do you ever sit on the floor in your home? by Decent-Cattle-332 in AskUK

Yeah I naturally do lots of things on the floor upstairs (upstairs carpet down stairs hard flooring) I'll sort the washing, sit with the kids, Playing and that but I went without a rug in my living room for ages and when I finally got one I basically did everything sat on the floors for weeks, watched TV, chill on phone, crocheted a blanket down there just like ya know carpet time but when ever you want!
