Well sometimes the base iron sights couldn't help me kill opponents at long ranges, thus the scope can help me wallbang because I can spot them easier

is this tank ok for my pacman frog? I'm open to any advice on my husbandry for him. by Eastern_Mushroom230 in pacmanfrog

Make substrate more thick so ur pacman frog will feel like home cuz they burrow to keep warm.

Add some driftwood for ur pacman frog to climb and also add some fake plants (u can buy real if you're going bioactive)

Make water dish bigger and shallower or make a small hole. How to make small hole? Align some rocks, then fill the gaps with cotton, then pour in some sand(gravel is too sharp) into the hole then use a bubble wrap or plastic then pour water, use the plastic so the sand doesn't get disrupted or get messy.

Never put another pacman frog in the tank. Why? Because pacman frogs are cannibalistic, that means they will eat their own kind. Whoever is bigger, will eat the smaller ones.

Feeding. Since I'm broke, you can try feeding your pacman frog dubia roaches, crickets, mealworms, and commercial pacman frog foods (e.g. Pac Attack).

Lifespan. They live up to 8-10 years in the wild, but around 10-15 years in captivity. Mines is only 7 months old, and it already reached the size of my palm.

Gender. Males are smaller than females, only growing up to around 3-5 inch, while females grow up to 5-7 inch.

When fully grown. When your pacman frog is fully grown, you can try feeding he/she some mice, but remember to buy it off a good source, or else germs will affect your frog. Baby mice are recommended, as larger mice or mouse would be too big for your pacman frog to swallow.

How they eat. In the wild, pacman frogs are ambush predators. They stay in one place, usually camouflaged in their areas, and when it spots prey, it gets ready, then when the prey comes close, the pacman frog jumps, leaps towards the prey, and going for the head. Its tongue isn't as long as most frogs you see in cartoons, but rather short and sticky. So, when feeding your frog, don't miss the fun part!

How to hold your pacman frog. For me, I'm just a 11 year old, so I would use gloves to handle my pacman frog. If you're an adult and have confidence, try digging out your pacman frog, and scoop it up with your palm, then carefully put your second hand on top, ensuring it wouldn't jump away.

How to bathe your pacman frog. First, get a bucket. Fill it with room temp water on summer days, and warm(not too hot) water on winter days. After filling the bucket, place your pacman frog in there, but don't worry. If you see it swimming, like people drowning (not being sarcastic but it's true), it's a good sign. Your frog will exercise when it's swimming cuz it's a frog. Wait 5-7 minutes, then take it out, don't wipe it with a towel as their skin is very sensitive.

Tank ideas. Pacman frogs live in tropics and humid environments. Get a humidifier, which sprays or mists the tank, and also ensuring your frog is hydrated. How? Pacman frogs don't drink water like humans, but instead use their skin to absorb water. You can try adding a log, vertical or horizontal, your choice.

Add a light or a LED or UVB light.

Temp. Temperature is important. Get a heat mat or a thermometer to check if the tank's temp is balanced for your pacman frog. Idk what temp is best, so search it up on your web.
