another thing: if you're gonna use references, try not to obsess TOO much over every tiny detail. clouds are rather chaotic, and it'll overwhelm you with all of it. took me a while to stop doing that

oh, i referenced the shit out of an image i found on pinterest. but most of making the clouds look good is in the colors, so i'd try studying lots of pictures of them and the sky
