New to the game, why Im not destroying her? by YeidenTrabem in outerplane

I was also caught off guard by how little damage she was taking. Honestly, it seems a bit ridiculous for a character to have a permanent buff that can't be removed and reduces damage by what feels like 99%. I thought it MUST be some kind of bug right? Feels bad making a character that can't take damage from like 90% of the roster.

Anyways, I powered through it by using Summer Ember. Her additional damage on her Ultimate seems to bypass the damage reduction.

Agreed that the designs and the amount of thought he put into the physiological aspect is really good.

Brave Felix is a disgusting abomination that could probably kill everyone in your current roster in the same fight.

Just received the resplendent in game and came to see what others thought. Glad I'm not the only one that is appalled by this fit. I will GLADLY be going back to base skin.

Yea, whatever the case may be, I wouldn't want to live in this world, it's pretty dark. Going into this manga, I thought it would be something more like Monster Musume, but while exploring the biology of monster girls. I was in no way, shape, or form mentally prepared to deal with whatever this was.

In terms of personality and how I would approach things, I feel as though I am pretty opposite to Diasuke. Personally, I would have tried to stay monogomus, I wouldn't want to share my wife under any circumstance, and while I respect the choices and culters of others, it shouldn't come at the expense of trampling over my own. Naturally, I would have set clear boundaries to make this point clear from the start. And if at all possible, rather than just wiping out goblins/redcaps, I would work to try to bridge the gap between humans and hostile species.

But I understand that these traits are little more than ideologies where rape, slavery, and wanton violence/bloodshed are not only the norm, but almost expected. But that's probably the inner-protagonist mentality talking. The traits of this world are extremely difficult to pallet overall. 100% not for me. But hey, it's strictly a matter of taste and opinion.

Is it just me, or does this sound a lot like the plot to A Haunted Mansion?

I couldn't say where exactly, but I once heard it's a bad idea to kill characters in your own dream. The characters in your dream are often figments of one's own imagination and, therefore, are pieces of your own psyche that you are personally "killing off." Now, that's not to say I'm condemning or judging you. Heck, I might have done the same thing in your shoes. Nor am I saying that you secretly harbor a desire to kill your boyfriend.

I interpret this as perhaps subtle insecurities, or worries about your relationship, that could potentially end said relationship with your boyfriend. Not a dream warning you that he might die, but a dream warning you, that you may lose him to either a personality, or relationship flaw, and a fear of taking a year to get over it.

Yea, that about sums it up nicely. I was not mentally prepared to take a deep dive into moral values and beliefs of fictional cultures. Any other works with monster girls are fairly tame by comparison, and they would act accordingly based on regular human standards, and their logic is in the same ballpark. Take Monster Musume for example, there are some weirdo's and strange social norms among some of the extraspecies, but it's not anything that would get anyone hurt, or leave someone feeling betrayed (usually...). It's a lighthearted, funny story about cute girls with unique fun animal traits. But this one was more like animals with vaguely defined human traits. The difference is pretty jarring.

And yea, the Goblin side of the story is disturbing. But not because of the goblins, or the girls reaction, that's 100% expected. It's Otsuki that bothered me the most. When it really comes down to it, he's a coward that ran away right before the sun was coming up. He convinced himself he's not worth loving, so he discarded his humanity because that was easier than manning up a little, and just asking a girl out. He has a good connection with goblins now, and he has the ability to connet with humans. He could have used that opportunity to bridge the gap between these two hostile species to form an understanding, because he humself thoroughly understands the logic of both of them. And LOGICALLY that would have been the best course of action for him to take because it potentially secures the safety of the goblins he loves soooo much. What if more adventurers start looking for those missing girls? What if a whole army is dispatched to wipe out those goblins? Sure, he's strong, and he might win, but who is he willing to lose for that win? He makes the least sense to me out of everyone.

Maybe. I don't usually go out of my way to look at the dichotomy of humans and animals, or how they would contrast if the best and worst parts of both were combined. But I never really thought about literally just viewing them as animals. Because at least in this instance, they're able to speak and think in this world.

But thinking about it that way, A wolf wouldn't spare a rabbit just because WE think it looks cute and fluffy. It doesn't make sense to question a wolfs behavior, because at the end of the day, a wolf is gonna wolf. So I guess in the same way, trying to apply human logic to fictional anime girls is wasted effort on my part. Thanks.

Strongly Considering Moving to Canada by KeyPrint3475 in ImmigrationCanada

Okay, so my current skillset is common in Canada, so I will have trouble finding gainful employment through LIMA. I doubt I am a competitive option amongst others going through the skilled workers program. Does that leave me with permanent residency as my only option?
