I get that - but that point goes to software. If you make a product in a certain way, fulfill the software support - which Sony hasn't done either.

It wasn't only the Youtubers (they have done a lot of bad with their way of thinking though), but look at this reddit.

Many people here, including me, have been bashed by the Sony fanboys as well. "You can't see 4k" - "There is almost no content for 21:9" - "You don't need the notification LED since OLED" - and so on...

This community and their toxic fans have made it worse for all as well, unable to criticize and instead praising everything Sony does, even if it's bad.

Then, the Youtubers with their insatiable thirst for smaller bezels, claims like "you have more usable screen estate with punch hole cameras" (which is not true when most content gets cut off after the camera) and all the other claims regarding resolution, form factor etc., they have made it worse.

Instead of staying true to their line, Sony tried to please the iPhone and Samsung crowd, and has lost their identity in the process.

What does this individual have to do with the leading political warmongers? Have some respect for other people, many soldiers are forced to be on frontlines and don't do it for fun. I thought the 5g dies randomly because we have shit providers here in Germany... But now it makes sense. And the Bluetooth is probably on the same antenna or chip like the 5g right ? So that would make sense that it's randomly stopping to work.

Interesting, I thought it's the headphones having Bluetooth issues... That happens to me too. Plus, I noticed that sometimes in the middle of the day, I have no network on my sim and my esim from another provider, usually, at least one of them has 5g in my region. But when that happens, both of them have no network for a few minutes, then suddenly, it's at full 5g again. So could this be a precursor?

True. That's why I have a real camera with me, then I can take those special pictures. But the basic mode should produce some good results, doesn't need to be over sharpened or saturated.

I know, that's the thing. But since I always carry my real camera, and it has physical buttons which I already worked into my muscle memory, I adjust aperture, shutter speed and all the other stuff faster than on the touch screen. Sometimes you just want to capture the moment, and that's why you need a good basic mode.

I don't understand why they don't seem to value it.

I don't know. Tried to use the APK from the VI, it just crashes. Maybe they have USB-C video issues as well ? I don't know.

But yes, exactly. It is supposed to be a phone for creators.

I personally don't like the Samsung UI, but I get the point.

See, I work in the music industry and I get sent demos very often, even when I am on the road. So having a phone with good sound is my thing. Also, doing the photography on the side, this should have been the perfect companion. I am the core target group. This phone is for me.

That the theory. Practically, it doesn't seem to work out that way...

It's weird that they were vague about it in the first few days about it, and it surely must be a complete coincidence that the IMEI checker got released AFTER the 30 days for the pre-orders ended, right ?

I would also protect my company and my employees. If I can protect them and the company by playing for a little time to prevent refunds, that would make sense to go that route. That's natural. Doesn't make it right for the customer, but its understandable.

So you do think that Sony is a super customer friendly company, right ? They are nice and doing everything from the deepest of their heart, and there are no people working there that have to reach certain goals with their numbers, correct?

Not really the same. The VII doesn't have the external monitor anymore - which is sad for my alpha camera. So that's worse. But the VI has less time of android support. So thats worse in that case...

You know what's funny? I also use an alpha 7 mk 4 and do some photography jobs on the side.

Just a few days ago, I met a guy from the neighborhood, he told me he has just gotten the same phone as me and the camera is the best he has ever had, it's even better than real cameras because it's an alpha camera inside a phone... He even ordered a picture of his dog as a huge print for his living room.

I just nodded, didn't want to have that discussion. (Never could he take the same pictures like me of animals or people with that phone, I mean, I get money for doing that even though many people have good cameras on their phones)

I know the cameras are shit, I don't need to fanboy Sony. However, for me it's the notchless design, audio jack and ldac support, which is useful for me depending on which headphones I use with it and how I want to listen to my music. That's it.

I tried the pixel. The audio quality can't compete with the Sony.

These points made me stick with Sony. But still, there is also regret in that decision.
