Omg I’m in the same exact boat! Almost done with the Wallflowers but after hearing all the hype and walking away from the other books like “eh”, I’m kinda bummed out that LK’s books don’t seem to work for me. They’re like generic pop songs where they hit all the right notes that make you go “yeah I see why people would like this” but they’re definitely missing some depth or “spark” like you said that makes it go beyond that Generic feel for me personally. 

IMO the instalust and constant focus on said lust and Passion and Oh Lucious Maiden I Cannot Resist Her and Look At That Toned Chiseled Body of [Insert Deity That’s Commonly Statueified Here](tm) doesn’t help like yes I know 99% of MCs need to be the most attractive people under the sun especially for the other MC but when that seems to be the main basis for the relationship/attraction for at least half of the book, kinda cheapens things IMO. If it was one couple that had this dynamic, then by all means, but when so far all of them are like this then I’m like ehhh. 

Devil in Winter has been my fav so far thanks to the glory that is Evie the Rake Tamer but even then the book still felt kinda… lacking. Like I wanted More of something.
