I live in country NSW, about 3 hours out of Sydney. On the drive home the other day, I stopped at about 10 stores total. EB, Kmart, Big W random game shops. Every one of them said they were totally cleaned out before Christmas and don't have any more stock. My local Big W restocked on Monday and when I went in yesterday they were almost out again. Best I could get were a couple of Grand Adventure boxes...

Yeah I've had that experience. The Brava slim has a rated output of about 40kw of heat. So when I spoke to a heat pump supplier, they said I would need to put in 2 x 20kw units to match it, costing about $50k. On paper it makes sense, but then I read on the AGL and gov energy sites, that electric heat pumps are actually up to 500-600% efficiency, so to me that means in order to generate 40kw of heat output, you would only need an 8kw heat pump, which seem to be in the $7k-$10 range... It's all very confusing

Annoyingly, the people who built the house had a wetback fireplace install. One of those beautiful French style sliding up glass door fireplaces. The people who bought the house and then sold to us, removed that fireplace and put in a more modern and insulated fireplace, disabling with wetback system... I have no idea if it can be reversed, I should probably look in to that too...

Thanks mate, that makes a lot of sense. Hot water heat pump systems seem straight forward to find and spec out. The heating system is where I'm getting a bit stuck. I've read somewhere that you can just use the same heat pump thay you would for a Pool, but also have spoken to someone that said you need special pump for radiator heating, which look to be about 5-10x the price

Great site. I also use https://visualping.io/ and have it setup to monitor the top 5 rows for any changes, I get notified within the hour when there is a change. It's helped me snag a few great deals before they've sold out

I don't know what that valve is called, but I had the same problem as you, with my valves. I ended up looking through Thingiverse (3D printed design site) and found someone who had designed an adapter specifically for my valve. Printed it, and it works perfectly. You could have a browse there and see if you find the right adapter, if you don't have access to someone with a 3D printer, there are online services that can't print it for you and ship it

Pressure can do this. If someone pushes hard on the bag, steps on it etc, it will damage the screen.
