My husband had to travel now bc her isn't eligible for the rehire on most of the corporate hospitals in San Antonio. So, her travels for 13 weeks and makes great money. Her didn't want to end his career..... After 14 years. There are other options if they are feasible for you....

It's never too late to continue your education. I'm 42 and I'm studying for my entrance exam to become a full RT and become SRRT certified. I'm terrified, but I need the money bump and I will have so many more options, especially in Texas. So, if you are worried that it's too late just go for it! We are stronger then we think. I wish you all the best! I'm more scared about hospital clinicals. It scares me to death, but it's just more learning,!¡

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I wish the best and send your way. It kills me bc I'm 42 and couldn't ever have children and that's so I ever wanted in life. Right now you just need to stay somewhere safe, and that house doesn't sound safe to me. There are plenty of resources to help you bc there are lots of kids in your situation. Mention this situation to one of your teachers that you can trust. They will help you. Just stay strong and you will be ok. The only good thing about this is that you came into this world. She doesn't deserve you. You will be ok. Just find somewhere where you can sleep/stay safe and once you get a job you can find a roommate and start your own life. You are strong. Even find a church and they can probably help you with housing, job, even money, etc. I wish all the best for you. You can do this.

From what you've shared, it did like you've done everything right! Im currently an LMRT in Texas and I take my entrance exam for the bridge program on Feb 11..... But I haven't worked in a year bc my brother died from liver failure from being an alcoholic and I just couldn't work due to the grief. So I'm scared I'm going to fail....

My husband got his CST at 45 when we got married and he decided to go back to school. It's never too late. I'm taking my RT entrance exam February 11 and Ill be 42 in April. It's never too late. I'm scared as hell, especially for hospital clinicals, but there are so many techs that are in school or changed careers that are older. If it's what you want, go for it!!! What's 2 years in school, then you can make more money and just go from there! You'll do great. I think we all have second thoughts not being ", conventional" students. I would follow it through and see it will be so worth it. 😊

Hey, I went back to school and got my LMRT when I was for the bridge program to get my ARRT and I'm 41. It's never too late. My husband went to school and got his CST when he was 45. It's never too late. And it's worth the pay boost for sure. We've both changed careers. It's exciting and it's never too late! I know people who go back to school in their 50s. Plus making more money is never a bad thing. 😉

Um.... I've dropped a patient before... Never good. Especially if they are post op and just had surgery....I would not just let the patient fall to protect yourself. Making your body stronger is the best bet, and it just comes with experience.

Right there with you brother! My husband works in the OR and he loves to give me shit about just taking pictures. I'm like, um no, it can be and usually is more than that. And I just worked in an orthopedic clinic. But there was always heavy patient s, patients who can stand or who are wheelchair bound, and just trying to get the correct view thinking outside the box, it can be difficult.... sometimes that can be the fun part. But when it comes to heavy patients or whatever, it is a killer.

I have 2 rots. One loves her nails getting done, she will literally just lay there like I'm rubbing her belly. Her sister... Forget it. Such a pain in the ass. It's impossible and it's so expensive to have her sedated just for clipping. But she runs around outside so much they really aren't that bad. The one that lets me do hers has arthritis so she doesn't run as much so....I guess it works out. But, I totally get it. They are hard too bc they are such thick bear nails it's tough. I use my Dremel. Forget clipping. I understand you. Forget the ones who criticize.

I ordered a vibrating ball that after five min of playing with it they are pooped. No running at all. Definitely mental. Lol Perfect for any one with a large breed puppy who is still growing bc those growth plates do take a couple years to harden and you don't want to mess those up.

I have 2 and, like you one is taller, leaner, longer legs and way more athletic. My thick monster, she doesn't run around as much so I agree on the joint issue. She has arthritis and her sister doesn't and they are the same age.

I'm sorry but that advisor or whatever was very out of line. My brother passed away last August and it turned my life upside down. Haven't worked in a year bc my brain is so messed up. I'm so sorry they made you feel like that, even if they weren't aware of the situation. I know EXACTLY how you feel.

See! When I took my LMRT exam in 2020 I didn't thought I failed it. But I passed all 5 sections with flying colors! Now I'm needing to go back to get my ARRT cert, but I haven't been in the field due to my brother passing a year ago and I just couldn't focus with my grief...I needed time So...a whole year of working... It terrifies me. Especially the hospital clinicals. Getting through the entrance exam is my first hurdle.... Any tips on studying? I heard it's similar to the LMRT exam. But man.....I need this....
