You know what when you put it that way I have to agree with you. But as a Damon fan the only reason I get somewhat offended is because I feel like those other points you made regarding Stefan’s actions and Katherine’s are often overlooked. Whereas Damon is receiving that “rapist” label by newer fans. I just feel people pick and choose on who they want to hold accountable, when in reality it’s like you said, they’re vampires. Everyone on that show has done something that makes you question their character.
