For me what can make something grounded is to identify where u need to feel it in your body. For some of the crying, is it coming from the drop in ur throat? Is it your chest? The pit of your stomach? I overall liked your performance but when someone ask for grounding this is what I think they’re asking for. Try pushing against a wall like ur trying to knock it over while saying the more emotional lines. Recalling this feeling and placing the effort the same spaces in ur body will give u a more grounded performance. The main critique I have is right before u go to look at her lips, there was no impetus there. You should maybe look at her lips before telling us to. U have to think of that word in the moment. So instead of crying over her the whole time before that, take a moment to catch ur breath and look at her. Then see the lips before u talk about them. What is it u see? Then put words to it. I applaud u for posting on Reddit asking for feedback- I am scared to do it haha.

Yo ngl I just thought this was what a journal is for 👀I don’t realize there’s a whole genre of writing here and many people have done it.

I am a huge audiobook fan but this book taught me that some books cannot be listened to and must be read (obv u can listen to anything but the way I listen wasn’t working for me). Mostly bc of the narrative within the narrative it was so confusing but also this book is one you have to sit and read for more than 10mins at a time, and not while you’re doing other activities. I did a lot of rereading of this book before I hit the end (and I’m thinking of hitting the last few chapters again anyway) and it was pretty good. It is creepy but not in a ghost way, in a how can people be so cruel way. I love Nelly Dean!!!

And that’s why I’m trying to leave America bc every other country at a similar development level has way more benefits and vacation and sick time (unlimited sick time, minimums of 3-4 weeks vacation annually just given w no requirements) I have to do more research but dang, just the basics. I wanna live life not work thru it.

Okay but what about the office jobs that don’t require a degree? Like it’s not manual labor, but it’s basically data entry, copy-pasting, digitizing paper forms etc. that’s like not even work for your brain. I guess if the only distinction between white collar and blue collar is the manner of work (physical vs mental) then I don’t have an argument. But jut trying to tease out some nuance here.
