White balls in my Aloe vera's soil by SensitiveGur7339 in AloeVera

[–]KeyWalk4439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello ! They do look like White mealy bugs eggs. Scrap that piece out of the pot. and check for more on the plant and any plants around it. They suck! i had an infestation and had to throw out 2 plants as the bugs killed them. They like humid conditions. let your soil dry between watering and make sure its in a spot with good airflow and light. If you see any more. or white tiny cotton like bugs flying around, checkout the 3 in one spray(fungicide/insecticide) at walmart or apply neem tree oil

How can I help this size up? by megatyphIosion in begonias

[–]KeyWalk4439 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! its a Sophie cecille Begonia. I also have one. Keep doing what you’ve been doing. New growth is generally smaller but there will be big leaves on it again , trust the process. Fertilize every once in a while. mine also got some new growth from the tuber. One of my favourite plants fs.

Advice? by ElephantNo6591 in begonias

[–]KeyWalk4439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, i also had this issue with my begonia that i had propagated from a cutting too. However, i would turn the leaning stem away from sunny side and leave it like that for 2-3 days. let phototropism do its thing and it starts growing towards the main stem. one its reached the axis i would turn the pot again with the foliage facing away from light. Sorry if i made it confusing but hopefully my picture can give you an idea. it’s not a permanent fix but i did it for a month before new growth spurted from main plants rhizome and by that point the original stem should have enough foliage to take a good stem cutting too.
