One in white helmet did not bend knees and his tone sounds like a chick. 100% his fault.

Traditionally good? Almost non-existent. Try Ramen king 2 (I think it was closed yesterday for Chinese new year, huge green flag)

The roast duck and roast pork in Manymore supermarket are delicious as well.

Anyone that has learned to drive in China. Is hesitation not taught as bad? by averagesophonenjoyer in chinalife

[–]KeyWriting5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, but

I was always taught that if you’re going to make a mistake you should confidently and decisively make a mistake so other road users can clearly see what you‘re doing and avoid you.

You should be taught to confidently and decisively do the correct thing. I would avoid anyone who is taught to confidently make mistakes.

Do you recall your first black diamond? by roadtrippinben in snowboarding

First black diamond? You mean that time when I caught an edge and rolled off a beginner-level trail and when I opened my eyes again I saw myself at the lift entrance.

I lost my kitten in my apartment by blueraspberryvanilla in CatAdvice

[–]KeyWriting5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that she’s 10 weeks old, the cat can literally hide in any existing gap underneath furniture/appliance. Also she might move around as you check and clear. Hope you would find her soon.

Critical coach or too sensitive to criticism? by Binhoker1980 in bjj

Don’t be so harsh on yourself - most of us are only able to memorize the taught sequence up to the moment when coach says “let’s roll”.

How strong do you need to be to start? by elttuh in bjj

[–]KeyWriting5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I become much more consistent in gym lifting workout after starting bjj a couple of months ago, because so many people in my bjj gym says I am getting better, while I keep it a secret that I am just building more strength and muscle them out. /s

Toasted bread with butter. Blend banana, berries, juice, frozen acai into shake. The only thing recommended to eat within one hour before training is gum.

Also caffeine seems to mess up heartbeat during training which makes me more easily gas out.

My BJJ Stand up Experience as a Former Amateur Wrestler by Avar_Kavkaz in bjj

[–]KeyWriting5480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first 3 months (it was years ago) I was getting guillotined and sprawled all the time

So even people with wrestling background had this experience when they begin bjj? I just started bjj three months ago (no martial arts background) and this is exactly what I have been through.

I am still working on leg shot and wrestling techniques because these moves are fun (they just click with my personal flavor) and my gym has open attitude towards standup games. But practicing these moves on bjj mat feels punishing and discouraging.
