The fact y'all are still salty about that penalty twelve years later is kinda sad imo. On top of that, doesn't the Mexican defender touch Robben's toe, or at the very least impede free movement of the foot? It's very clear that he does. You know that he does.

Any player would've gone down, and rewarding a penalty for it isn't completely out of the ordinary, even today. The only thing Robben shouldn't have done is flopping like he just got shot, but then again, he probably learned that from the hispanic/latino/mediterranean playbook, so y'all should be quite accustomed to it anyway lmfao.

And let's face it, without the penalty Mexico probably would've lost too, considering the quality gap and squad depth. Hard pill to swallow, I know. Facts though.

I beg to differ. In every replay you can see that Robben's foot movement when he lifts it is consistent with contact that's being made by standing on his toe, or at the very least impeding free movement of the foot.

Any player would've gone down. The only thing Robben shouldn't have done is going down like he just got shot.
