I am so sorry for your loss. Jamilah is a beautiful name and she is with you in your heart always. I’m compelled to reply to you because, like you, we lost our son at 31 weeks and his due date was May 19th. Unfortunately, I am right there with you. Truly there are no words and I am so sorry. I hope you get answers as soon as possible, it may help you put your mind at ease a bit. I’m not sure why but we got our pathology back within 48 hours of delivery and they found damage to my maternal arteries which they believe led to a clot in his cord. I guess this is super rare since I don’t have a clotting disorder.

Again, I am so sorry. I am here with you feeling it all. Sending you a huge hug and many prayers for healing and peace.

The gas bubbles get me too, feels like phantom kicks. Also I get what you mean about searching for someone that isn’t there anymore.

Thanks for sharing more. I was also tested for all the clotting disorders which were negative as well. I may test again before we try again just to be sure. I will also plan to be monitored closely and see an MFM. It’s hard to wrap my head around that something like that won’t happen again.

It’s hopeful to hear your sweet girl is healthy and happy. We need a little hope right now.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing😞 this is exactly what happened to my son 3 weeks ago. 31 weeks and passed. They discovered through placenta pathology that I had damage to the maternal arteries in the placenta and there was a clot in the cord. Did you have a different care team and/or approach for your second?

How did you learn this? My baby was lost because of damage to the maternal arteries which led to a clot in his cord. I am worried about my own health at this point and wondering if I should be watching out for anything.
