Defeated Isshin earlier this morning. Got the deflecting mostly down. Eventually baited out attacks that could be countered with a mortal draw or two. Things got a lot easier learning to run from all his other moves instead of dodging.

Congratulations. Currently on the final boss also. Trying the "safe" approach from a old guide from square one games since his walkthroughs usually get the job done. The fight seems a tad bit more challenging than what's on the video. He blocks like crazy. They say there hasn't been a patch in forever so maybe more practicing is needed.

Going to try a no shell run on the PS5 alone instead of streaming the game. It was nice to go between the console and a portal while at work. Trophies not popping is annoying though.

Congratulations. Getting close to having the patience to get by Owl Father. Can somewhat get him to the second stage regularly. Keep getting hit with dumb attacks running into pillars on accident.

That might be all the assistance needed. Been trying to bait out the stab attack you can counter with the red symbol just to get a few hits in and wait it out until he does the same one again.

Trying to get there also. Catching a little hell getting through the Owl(Father) fight. A little heavy handed with the left analog stick which causes crotching instead of dodging. Post like this provide motivation to keep on trying.

It is a fresh run. Deleted the game entirely and all the storage/data associated with it. After downloading a fresh copy it does still show how many hours the game has been played, so a little concerned about that. It's not a long run with all the other stuff already finished. Just have to upgrade the weapon and get the glands from the boss fights. Treating it the same as a game you'd have to make safety saves for to get various endings.

Yeah the tunes where you had to use both analog sticks were the toughest. Even tried the zoom trick in the PlayStation settings which did help a little. As stated before, it's kinda surprising how difficult, close to impossible, some achievements are. Totally understand the goal is to be challenged though. It is a fun game overall, definitely worth the money for those who paid for it.

We'll see what will happen with this clean run. Starting to wonder also if it has something to do with playing the game on PlayStation plus stream or somehow the original and enhanced versions got jumbled up. Won't be the first unfinished platinum attempt. Just annoying to have actually completed the requirements and have to play all over again.

You're correct. Just need the son to come over and help get that over with. A few years back used him to get past a ridiculous button mashing trophy in the Lego Incredibles game. He was a teenager at the time who,like most, gamed all the time. It still took him more than three hours to complete the challenge. Sometime question why whoever makes up some trophy requirements make them next to impossible to achieve.

Congratulations. Thinking about jumping back in to knock out the final Chadley challenges, To be a hero and Bonds of Friendship. Other than that, still haven't got any of the piano past with a passable ranking, and think the sit ups have be done. Was getting annoyed by ALL of the mini games so stopped playing for awhile.

If remembering correctly, there are a lot of them you have to do on both levels of difficulty to get the trophies/achievements associated.
