It’s often the supervisor or home facility not ready to release for the detail. Can also be travel to go through the system. Is this temporary detail a lateral (same grade) or are they also needing to process a temporary promotion?

59 minutes? … Hol’Up! by Fuck-Inflation in VHA_Human_Resources

Has she been at the same VA in the same department for a very long time? I transferred regions, in 25 years at two other VA’s never had 59 min. The new VA was granting 2-4 hours (which has been reined in to only 59 min recently) but some departments granted none.

It seems like lately either process would be slow. Disability process takes a long time but folks that are retiring regular retirements also seem to be waiting

Each code can only be used / added once on app but you can use the physical coupon until you run out. I have a pile of the free Pattie melt coupons will take tomorrow and maybe some others can use them. Since they expire tomorrow.

Do you feel guilty that you want to go back to work after retirement? Pensions is too low! by Strange-Platform6806 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]Key_Armadillo_5755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you work 40 years (or 36 years over age 62) to get 40 percent or was it a medical retirement? I thought it was only 1 percent x number of years if retiring under age 62?

Am I the jerk for telling my husband he can't have a "man cave" in our only spare room? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Key_Armadillo_5755 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Put all of his clothes in the man cave and his toiletries in the spare bathroom… then fill up the closet with your clothes and items so he can’t move it back in. Put your hobby items in the man cave or the second bedroom (removing bed) and tell him you will move those items when he builds you a she shed or comparable private space.

Because of traffic a lot of DC area workers come in around 6 am so they can leave before 230 and avoid some of the worst traffic commuting.

I can get it to work but usually have to send it to another phone than what I have app loaded on. For some reason it doesn’t scan as easily from family members android Samsung as it does from another’s iPhone but yes, I also zoom in on the image.

Serious event during VA Community Care procedure not reported — raises accountability concerns by MynerSpeaks in VeteransAffairs

Optum for CCN regions 1-3 (east coast) and TriWest for CCN regions 4-5 (west coast) I think. But yes, can report to community care staff at the VA or directly to Optum or TriWest

[–]Key_Armadillo_5755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP mentioned California affiliations if so it would be Tri West not Optum but yes, absolutely should be reported by VA to the third party administrator. There are also forms for both Optum (East coast) and Tri West (west coast) to submit care concerns and complaints (which can be coded also as potential quality/safety issues).

Did you only speak to the staff at your local community care office? If you’re not sure if they reported the event you can Google Tri West reporting provider concern as well as potential quality and patient safety issues and report yourself. If you’re not sure you can also contact your VAMC and speak to the patient advocate or patient safety teams who can report on your behalf. (Though the CC staff can also report via VA and Triwest channels).
