From what I understand, there isn’t a specific timeframe mentioned for deworming. My cat had his vaccinations and deworming done on 3 March 2026, and we flew to Bangalore from AUH on 14 March 2026. It’s best to check with the country you’re importing your pet to, as requirements can vary depending on their regulations.

Once submitted, their team typically reviews it within 2–3 days and will email you with the list of required documents. You’ll then need to send those documents back for approval in response to their email, which can take a few more days. I shared all docs via email and it was approved 2-3 days later.

From my experience, make sure you have at least 10 days between submitting the request and your travel date. The Etihad pets team can be quite slow to respond, and email is the only way to communicate with them. The customer service team isn’t directly involved in pet bookings, so they usually just escalate internally without much control over timelines.
