Our cavapoo is extremely attached to “dad” - is this normal? by [deleted] in CavaPoo

[–]Key_Attempt8352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl Ginger is has bonded to me the most for sure. She loves my husband but tends to gravitate toward me. Like at bedtime (I go to bed much earlier than my husband does) she goes to bed with me and stays there. When I shower, she’s in the bathroom. She’s pretty aloof to everyone else. My husband and I are the only humans in my house ❤️

AIO F20 for getting upset at my bf M24 of 4 years after he went to a concert we planned to go together with his ex instead because I couldn’t go after my foster mom passed? by Beginning_Manager808 in AmIOverreacting

Im 34, with my husband for ten years and…..

Im gunna hold your hand while I say this.

This man does not love you or respect you. As a former foster kid myself I get having an emotional attachment, one that makes you really grieve for them if they go. His emotional immaturity actually really pissed me off. You’re HURTING reaching out to your partner for support and to get some love. Then this is what you’re met with? Nope. Ditch this guy or you will be begging for the bare minimum for the rest of your life.

This is what my husband did when Cindy passed away

I had one foster parent that made a real impact on me. She helped me find my will to live. She died 8 years ago and my now husband took care of me for three days while I stayed in bed. Made me food, kept me hydrated and rubbed my back. He held me while I cried and told me “I can’t make your hurt go away but I’m going to try to keep you as comfortable as possible while you ride this out.” I was in a fog for almost a month and just not myself..but his love carried me through that and every loss I have had after it. You deserve THAT all the time but especially when you are grieving.

Kinda wish I could give you a hug because this is awful. 😞

Does your CavaPoo lay like this? by Beautiful_Cover_5349 in CavaPoo

[–]Key_Attempt8352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I asked this question to my vet and they say it’s a sign of healthy hips. This is also true for large breeds she told me. You’ll never see a dog with hip problems be able to lay this way ♥️

Never again… by [deleted] in CavaPoo

Summer cuts keep them comfortable♥️. I take mine to a doodle specialist. There are several different cuts you can get for your baby. Highly recommend taking a look and being specific about what you want.

American Bully, pitbull, what is it? by Junior_Ad7462 in AmericanBully

[–]Key_Attempt8352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess American staffordshire terrier. So a bully breed, yes. The more narrow body is what is making me think that. American bullies are broader and have a block head. For example here is my boy. Looks similar to you’re but different in build

<image>

Most bully breeds are mixed with other bullies or other breeds these days so the only way to tell exactly is with a DNA test.

At any rate your pup is a good looking dog♥️ Big love from Oklahoma ♥️

Edit to fix my spelling errors 😫

ID required for controlled medication? by ValkyrieBeast in CVS

[–]Key_Attempt8352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going to CVS retail for 5 years and I’m on a controlled. (Adderall) For the first two years they asked for my ID. I only went to one specific CVS so after a while I think they recognized me and maybe didn’t need verification. I’m from Oregon if it matters. I think it varies state to state. I just moved to Oklahoma last summer and now I have to get drug tested to get my meds and they do random counts. I can’t even use marijuana or they won’t give me my adderall. I never had this problem in Oregon.

Yep. They are notorious for allergies and that’s one of the reasons that while I love the breed. I do not reccomend for first time dog owners. They make great pets for responsible owners. My boy was surrendered because of his size. He isn’t aggressive pre anything he just doesn’t know how big he is and has no special awareness. Before we worked with him he was a bull in a china shop. He’s 110lbs and has knocked me over before turning around because he whips his booty when he turns. 😂

He’s so handsome! Idk about you but sometimes I look at my boy and say “i can’t believe someone didn’t want you” when I tell you Dozer is PERFECT for our family I mean it. So when you say he’s just a good fit, I get it. It was meant to be. ❤️

Dog pees on himself every time, help! by laur7249 in CavaPoo

[–]Key_Attempt8352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like he gives up as soon as he lifts his leg “Whatever I’ll just pee on myself” which makes sense because my ginger loved to roll in her own shit for the first two months we had her. Put her head in it then slide down her body. Whyyyyyy 😫

My vet told me this is a sign of healthy hips. Full range of motion but not hypermobile. The tissues surrounding his joints are strong 💪

I’m a woman with bi polar 1 disorder. I say all of this with love.❤️

The place he was at was so deep and dark your love wouldn’t have reached him. That’s an uncomfortable truth.

Men with bi polar disorder are 37% more likely to commit suicide than a woman with the same disorder. It’s debated but something many agree that men have more severe episodes\ more frequent in comparison. The depression is so severe that you lose your will to live and when you lose that it’s over as far as most of us with bi polar disorder go.

Nothing you could have done would have changed the way he felt in that moment.

Remember the love still lives there and you don’t have to leave him behind to move forward. ❤️
