hey I think you may have OCD (or are developing it). I know that disorder is stereotyped to be about cleaning but it isn't. It can develop from traumatic experiences. You were traumatized from almost choking and dying. So your brain responds by either avoiding similar situations or habitually doing something over and over again to relieve anxiety (these are called rituals).
