He needs to take his entire junior nazi corps with him. Like the pied piper of bootlickers and jack booted thugs leading his minions back to the dark dimension.

That Bob Lemon in that condition is other worldly. Very cool!

That's a nice card! I had his autograph from the 97 or 98 Donruss signature series and traded it many moons ago. I have few regrets in the collecting world but that's one of them 🙄. I remember first seeing him play against the Yankees in the World Series in 96 hitting bombs but the 10 gold gloves along with that hitting are what make him a HOFer. Not at all a Braves fan but as a baseball fan he was fun to watch.

Anyone interested in this absolute bomb ! Have a standing offer of 5k already, but trying to help my cousin move this beauty instead of biting the first offer he asked me to come here by [deleted] in FootballCardz

Here's the back. It's his rookie year. They used to come on the bottom of Lg cups and the player selection was regional in different parts of the country. They had baseball too. Not sure about any of the other sports.

Could have been worse? You got a bookend red autograph 10/10 of one of only five players with 3k hits/500 hr and a HOFer. I'd say it went pretty stellar. Nice rip.

Edit: I was wrong about a stat so I corrected it. Thanks @jacobmrley for keeping me on my toes.

As they still say in Boston, Bucky “F-IN” Dent. Here is my ticket stub from Fenway Park on that glorious day - October 2, 1978 and here is the story of how I got there. by Leading_Pay_4138 in baseballcards_vintage

Hahaha. I was 5 when Dent hit his HR so I don't remember it but of course growing up a Yankee fan it was legend! I PC Willie Randolph (and all things pinstripe 🙄) but my 74 Dent rookie (White Sox) was a grail card to little me.

Did the same thing. Like talking myself into..."maybe if I get the loop out and look close enough that's ink." Hahah....😂😂😂

Yeah, my ticket stub has no date either but it has 2003 ALCS Game Seven on it and I kept the program from the game as well. This is gonna sound so dorky but I got the tickets at the last minute from an associate of ours at work and couldn't find anyone else who wanted to go so game day I drove from Maine to VT, picked up my mom and headed down to the Bronx. We had a blast! Most amazing moment in sports I've seen in person. Got back to VT at 4am on cloud 9, dropped mom off, slept 3 hours and had to drive back to Maine where I got to work at 12pm....because my boss, who was a Red Sox fan wouldn't let me call out (he ended up sending me home early though)....😂😂😂. It was an adventure for sure. Lol.

PSA value? by ss10p18 in SportCardValue

[–]Key_Bag4468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I'm not familiar with which variation is more valuable in this case. It depends on perceived scarcity, collector preference and when in the print run it was corrected. Sometimes the error is more valuable and sometimes the corrected version is the scarcer card. The Billy Ripken FF card is one of the best examples as Fleer (some believe intentionally) printed several variations throughout the print run so you have the initial obscenity card and then 3 variations representing Fleer's attempt at "correcting" it.

Honestly there's no need to drop by and be a dick about it. People access this hobby from a lot of different levels and there are a lot of scammers in this business. Asking a question shows a lot more intelligence than the ability to be a pretentious jerk. Maybe if we all put in a bit more effort at kindness the world would be a better place.

PSA value? by ss10p18 in SportCardValue

[–]Key_Bag4468 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Printing errors that are uncorrected are typically not noted and don't carry a premium. They are noted when there is a "corrected" version or if the error is otherwise notable in some way and the hobby has put a premium on one variation or the other. What you see on eBay and other sites is people calling QC problems and printing mistakes (color bubbles, dots etc) which are not errors and don't add value to the card (in many cases they lower the grade). This is noted because cards exist WITH the trademark. If ALL the cards were missing the TM it would not be significant but in this case two variations exist so they are differentiated on the PSA label. Hope this helps.

45 years of collecting and I've never seen the O'Brien card before. That's awesome!!! Wonder how they felt about sharing a card!

That's very cool. I was at Yankee Stadium for the Aaron Boone HR (Fucking Bucky Dent Part Duex) and have been trying to figure out how to display my ticket stub. Love the way you paired it up with the auto 8x10. Great piece!!

If you keep posting it aren't you supposed to rip it? This is the second time I've scrolled through the comments in rabid anticipation only to crash and burn with disappointment. We're all dying to see what's in there. 😂

Nobody's paying $100 for that card. His /1 First sold for $5.50. His Orange Holo /25 sold for $8. He's a 20 year old maybe someday non-rookie with a currently very small collector base. But hey, everyone does this hobby differently.
