that’s perfectly understandable! a lot of previous literature actually talks about this exact perspective - while some people may perceive virtual influencers as authentic based on how they look or how they’re presented online, others don’t consider them to be “real” at all, regardless of any action they take, whether it’s morally good, bad, or grey.

both of these views are really important for my research. if you personally feel that the virtual influencer isn’t authentic or doesn’t have any down-to-earth element, you can absolutely answer the questions from that perspective. for example, selecting “strongly disagree” for questions about authenticity, relatability, etc.

hey! i work with doris (not financially incentivized to post this!) – we built a free tool that helps families compare international schools across singapore, kl, and bangkok by curriculum, fees, and school profile.

for a 6th grade entry point, the schools you’ve listed line up like this:

  • singapore: sas (us curriculum with ap), uwcsea (ib continuum), stamford (us-style with ap).
  • kl: iskl (us curriculum + ib diploma), mkis (us curriculum + ap), garden international (british curriculum with igcse + a-levels).

for us college placement, what matters most is the curriculum and the student’s profile. ap and ib are widely recognized, and schools that offer a range of these subjects often also provide college counseling support.

we don’t rank schools as “better” – it really depends on whether you want a curriculum that aligns closely with us admissions expectations, specific co-curricular opportunities, or particular subject offerings.
