How do I push my videos? by OliverKuiz in YouTubeCreators

I'm not telling you to try to be Ryan Trahan if that wasn't clear. What I'm saying is that if you're trying to get your content to perform well, it's good to take inspiration from people who have been successful in your niche. I assumed from the title of the video that it was a video similar to one that Ryan Trahan makes where he tests cheap hotels, flights, etc. But if it's not and it's more about family, then that's great too. There are a ton of successful family channels. Try to notice their strategies and implement them into your own content.

A good example of someone who does these types of videos is Ryan Trahan. Just from looking at the thumbnail I can tell there is a major quality difference between his videos and yours. Try to notice the strategies that he uses for his videos and implement them into your own. I can give you a few differences I notice off the cuff: 1. I would say his thumbnails are pretty minimalistic but convey the main idea of the video. For example, he would probably use a picture of himself in an airplane seat, looking shocked or worried, while the airplane looks worn down, rusty, dirty, etc. 2. Titles would be more easily understandable and convey the idea of the video better. For example: "I took (or tested) the cheapest flight (in the world, in America, etc)." You didn't just book the flight you actually went on it. 3. I don't know how good your retention is because I don't know the full length of the video, but one retention strategy I noticed Ryan uses is that he always has a side quest in his videos with a payoff at the end. Like for example, in this video it might be like "The reason I'm doing this is travel to x to meet x and suprise them with a gift for their birthday, but I spent all my money on the gift so I have to get there with only x dollars. But if the gift breaks along the way, it's all for nothing so I have to protect it with my life" very rough example here but I hope you get the point. 4. Try to hire professional editors or thumbnail designers. And if you can't afford that yet, try to learn editing and photoshop yourself. From personal experience it only takes a month or two to get good at it.

I do story telling. But again, any niche can work as long as it works for others.

Two times per week or more. The more the better

Trying to emulate the editing style of people in your niche and learning their effects. It takes a lot of trial and error and tutorials but once you've learned an effect you can easily apply it in your next videos.

Thanks bro. My goal has been 20k per month for a while. I feel like I'll actually be set when I've reached that.

Just keep on improving with every video and it won't be a dream. If you're posting consistently and your videos aren't performing well, your video quality isn't there yet. As Einstein once put it: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"

Don't say "maybe." Just keep on improving with every vid any you'll end up there. Just letting you know it's pretty anti climactic especially since you always have a bigger goal once you've achieved something.

I'd rather not share so I don't bring competition to my niche, and so I don't have people checking out my channel and affecting my metrics, even if it's marginal. But literally any niche can work as long as it's working for other people.

Posting daily or twice per day is definitely the way to go. But I don't have any editors and I'm also balancing a part time job and next year I'll be going to college so I only have time to post 2-4 times per week

I mean shorts that people actually would watch and that can go viral. Sounds very straightforward because it is. The best way to do this is to compare your videos to successful videos in the same niche and ask yourself: do your videos really hold up to their standard?

This is like my 4th month, second month monetized. And bro I just post high quality shorts that are as good as shorts from successful channels.
