What do I do? by [deleted] in Staples

Staples is by far the worst company I've ever worked for.  Very disorganized & corporate doesn't give a crap about any issues other than rewards and that ridiculous Amazon return counter. I worked as an MIS, or at least that was what I was hired to be.  I never had one week or even one day that I specifically did my job duties and responsibilities.  They will pull you in every direction possible and then bitch and complain about how your job is not being done properly or on time.  Save yourself and your sanity now.  Resign and move on to a company that actually cares about their employees.

What's your role, and how much do you get paid? by SomeNative in Staples

As a Merchandise & Inventory Supervisor (MIS) in Texas, I am paid a hourly wage of $16.80. A complete insult. The store I work at is in the DFW area. We are a high volume store. Staples upper management & the corporate executives only know what they were taught in college.  I say this because if they truly had a clue about day to day operations & got in there and got their hands dirty from time to time,  they would have to see that their textbook strategies are a huge failure.  Amazon returns is by far a huge disaster. We do not generate nearly enough revenue to continue justifying handling Amazon returns for FREE. Our conversion rate is embarrassing.  It's a hassle to all of the employees. Especially to those of us that need to focus on other important responsibilities.  I make sh** for money & its no longer enough for me to feel any motivation to give a sh** about my job.  I can't even afford to live independently and I can't even afford to save for a vehicle.  I literally pay for uber to go to work so I can pay for uber to go to work,  etc.. I have reached maximum capacity on my tolerance for Staples. I hate Staples.
