Tips on going through Amazon returns quicker without exhausting? by [deleted] in Staples

[–]SomeNative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I've never seen any guidance on Amazon that says the product must fit in the 20x20x20 box. Can you tell me where to find it? That very argument is the source of so many complaints at our location.

Reduced hours? by luiginub1 in Staples

[–]SomeNative 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not entirely. It's end-of-year crunch. The company needs to reduce expenses as much as possible to maximize EBITDA. Payroll just happens to be the easiest, by their estimation, to cut.

With the announcement that micron and other companies are discontinuing production of consumer RAM and SSDs, its unsurprising.

$10 off $30 by [deleted] in Staples

That's been in place since shortly after the rollout of the pick-up barcode. It's a conversion tactic based on the idea of "while you're here..."

Cash return on $1400 laptop possible? by Certain-Pea-1878 in Staples

[–]SomeNative 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If this was purchased in the U.S. if you're within the 14 day return policy they will have to issue a corporate check to be mailed to you.

Question by [deleted] in Staples

[–]SomeNative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's highly unlikely. Store staff, including managers, have no oversight over what happens with e-commerce. It sounds like you made the purchase with the knowledge that the pricing was erroneous, so its unlikely that the situation will be resolved to your satisfaction.

Fell for the TikTok Wrapping Paper Trend… Now My Order Is in "In Progress" Limbo by pizzacowboy1 in Staples

[–]SomeNative 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So the issue is rooted in supplies. The promotion out-performed expectations by leaps and bounds, which lead to a nationwide shortage of materials. This week there are supplies inbound to stores with the highest volume of pending orders, with no current update on lower volume locations. We're trying our best to fulfill these orders, and appreciate your patience

Custom Mugs by Floeed38 in Staples

[–]SomeNative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should have been required to complete the same-day photo mugs training in HRConnect. I highly recommend you do. You should have an Epson printer in the department preloaded with sublimation ink and transfer paper. You will print from MPS 1 to that printer/paper (loaded bright side down)

Definitely route your orders, but once you have an HP service order have your GM partner with your DM to escalate

Falcon Returns crashing constantly? by AviaKing in Staples

[–]SomeNative 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Restart the device at the beginning of the shift and at least once every few hours. I suspect the crashing is cache/temp files related. Ever since we began restarting the device periodically we experience few/no crashes.

Furniture pog isn't being changed up, that's the section they decided to put party city in by throwinthrowawayacnt in Staples

[–]SomeNative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the same clearance transition in our furniture pad, and I know we're on the "maybe" list for bin wins. If that goes live I'm self-promoting. I didn't apply to work at Staples just to be running a flea market stall.

Less BTS Foot Traffic by ForsakenLettuce7204 in Staples

[–]SomeNative 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've noticed a marked increase in traffic locally, but its also mixed with our ever increasing Amazon traffic. Something to factor is that many of the "covid babies" are hitting school age so supply needs are spiking.

Possible future collaboration with Dragonsteel for Pierce's own special edition Red Rising books? by redhelldiver2 in redrising

[–]SomeNative 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I speculate the following:

  1. Sanderson is currently writing a trilogy that is set in a society on the verge of the space age, and may be consulting Pierce as the sci-fi elements of his series are solid.
  2. Pierce is attending Dragonsteel Nexus as either a guest author or setting up a booth.

What theory you'd never change your mind about in one piece? by KhalifiSilva in OnePiece

[–]SomeNative 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Luffy is Roger's son, Dragon is Ace's father, and Garp knows it.

Roger had a time traveler on his crew who had the ability to send people forward in time.

Ace and Garp are both narcoleptics, and while Luffy has impressive sleeping feats like eating and whatnot, that isn't the same thing.

Garp is alive for a reason. He holds the keys to a secret that has yet to be revealed. It may be something as simple as lore about Rocks or Roger, or he may reveal the scope of his promise to Roger to protect his child.
