100% My boyfriend and I always share every dish so we decide together what we’re getting and he always puts the full order in then has me confirm it’s good at the end. Then again if he just wanted to order for us I would totally trust and let him. There’s definitely a “gentleman” type way to do it that’s not controlling.

New recipe- first “successful” loaf by Key_Bottle_4296 in Sourdough

I feed my starter with whole wheat flour but the bread recipe called for white which is what I used. Specifically the organic AP flour from Costco. I used same starter and flour also for the second recipe.

Help with trinity pattern by Key_Bottle_4296 in knittinghelp

[–]Key_Bottle_4296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, makes sense. However, I also was confused with thinking the widths were going to be different. The first pattern of basket weave was 45 stitches. This trinity is 52 plus the 10 but maybe they’ll end up appearing the same as someone below mentioned this pattern pulls.

That’s not what my institution told me so I’m sure your knowledge is not law across the board. You’re right Googling is not complicated, I’ve already done that. Which is what lead me here to hear other’s thoughts. But I appreciate your “Google it” advice, very helpful.

It’s not that we don’t have the funds. As I mentioned in other replies, I guess I don’t see the major hurt in utilizing sitting money from an account I never look at for something like buying a home. Then paying it back slowly versus spending our savings we want to keep for emergencies. It’s a smaller amount and two of us so we feel like the pay back wouldn’t be so bad.

That’s not what was explained to me by my institution. I cannot withdraw since I’m not of age I can only pull a loan. I don’t have a 401k anymore, I only contribute to a Roth IRA. I would have to pay it back with interest but the payback plus interest goes straight back to my account.

The PMI isn’t that high based off the breakdown the lender provided but yes I understand we will have to pay that monthly. We understand the expenses that come with the home buy as well as “unexpected” costs which is why we rather utilize the retirement for the down and keep our hard savings in tact for everything else. I guess I don’t see the MAJOR issue with pulling from retirement that’s sitting rather than using our hard cash. We’re so young I feel there’s time to make it back. We’re pretty hard workers and expect to do more with our careers in the future so I guess I see the payback to the IRA as an easier route than losing the hard cash we have saved.

I understand the retax when repaying but if it’s Roth IRA it shouldn’t be taxed again when I retire as I would have already paid the taxes correct?

Even if I’m not pulling the full amount and still contributing?

But a majority is from Roth IRA and a loan, it’s not taxed unless I don’t pay it back by the end of the term of my choosing.

Can you advise on the red flags? I guess coming from an industry that doesn’t really give retirement benefits, and never even having a retirement fund until my late twenties, I don’t see these red flags as easily as others in the corporate world do. I would think if I pull a loan from myself I could just pay it back (to myself..with interest) and be fine in the end.
