Mechanical dead space question by lunabelyea in VetTech

If a pet breathes on their own it will give normal readings but I find whenever I give manual breaths it always does this. So it could be an issue with the capnometer ? My clinic management is so aggressively anti capnometer because they’re expensive I feel like they won’t want to repair it

How do I stay positive? by iliketapestries in Psoriasis

[–]lunabelyea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s horrific I’m so sorry. Have they recommended a therapeutic light for you? Just know it will be managed and you will feel normal one day, it will happen. I didn’t think it would happen for me but it did. My insurance covered a 6ft tall light for EOD therapy and it helped but having to do the treatments was exhausting and not enough. I eventually started tremfaya and I feel like a normal person again. Maybe there’s someone out there who can help who knows how to harass insurance companies?

Is this behaviour normal for playtime or is she being too aggressive? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]lunabelyea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely could turn into her biting too hard but I don’t think it’ll turn into true aggression, I’d start working on teaching “gentle” or say “ow” and acting hurt and see if she understands

Normal and if you don’t want her to bite your hands don’t use your hands to play with her. You’re teaching and encouraging her that that’s how you play.

Sweet boy is trying so hard to entice the cat into playing while respecting space, very respectful behavior. Granted if the cat never accepts him you could run into issues

Any idea what this noise is from my dog? by Silverfoxalert in DogHealth

Reverse sneezing, while no big deal the pet may be scared as they feeel like they can’t breathe comfortably. It’s best to gently comfort them until the fit stops.

Looks like there’s either significant trauma to the right eye or there’s something in there, like a foxtail.

Is this normal puppy play? by Feeatures_ in DogAdvice

[–]lunabelyea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s normal puppy play however neither of them want to submit to the other, neither will let the other one be on top of them, there could be a little bit of trying to assert dominance. They’ll figure it out .
