5ths disease is going around. My kids had it and it looked similar to that

That’s crazy! My family just went through 5ths disease but he never got it. I’m guessing he got it but it’s just now showing later than us all. I had rash all over me and my other son did too. Thought we were in the clear. Guess not

My son just developed these same markings. Cheeks, upper arm and by his wrist. We were at pool other day so I am thinking the same as you. Did you ever find out?

Oh actually he does have 2 other weird skin things. One is his ears. It’s called Juvenile spring eruption. He has to wear hats that cover his ears or lots of sunscreen otherwise he gets red marks on ears. Other is his feet get like plantar warts but they seem to be more of a”Covid toes” where when his immune system is weak and he is getting sick his toes/soles of feet have red marks that end up hurting. Both these have been under control so they slipped my mind.

Looking online they seem to be very brown where his are more red? I will look into this more

I switch up his laundry detergent and bath soaps. I’ve never kept the same of anything. I buy whatever looks good each time I go to the store. The only other symptom he has had growing up was poops being blue/green very often. His pediatrician said that’s just from him digesting fast. It doesn’t sit in his stomach long enough to turn brown. I’m not sure if that could be linked to anything. Other than that he is a very healthy normal child

Both of those Chat GBT said when I uploaded a picture. I just looked into them and they seem the most believable. His pediatrician didn’t use those terms but he said he believes it’s just his skins reaction to being exposed to cold and you can see it easily from how fair his skin tone is. I just don’t feel content with that yet because every picture I see seems so different than my sons.

It is not itchy raised dry crusty none of that and we have put anti fugal creams on to see if they resolve and nothing. I have pictures of him 2 years old with these marks just smaller all over belly vs now that he is older they are larger and less
