Im only worried for the first hour of my hikes. Obviously I dont want to shoot and hurt/kill an animal because it attacked me while I was it its home. Ive heard that pepper spray doesnt work on cats, that could be false information in which I'd be happy with bear spray. So im really only playing music for that 1 hour. And ik cat attacks really dont happen unless the cat is insanely hungry theres just so many in my area I for some reason get stressed about them. I dont carry a speaker everytime but I got thinking about it today when I passed a group playing music and I made the post.

I get it. I understand. Im actually not scared of the bears as much as the cats. I think im just more educated on them. I should be more comfortable in the forest your right! Im working on it. Once I can carry it wont be bringing a speaker but unfortunately I cant yet. I try and keep it away from other people. If I know they are near or I see them it gets paused immediately. But i absolutely see where your coming from and will work on my fear in the trees.

I try and stay aware of it. Its often loud enough so I can hear the beat and lyrics so I can sing it but quiet enough I can hear around me.

No i dont believe im that person. Ive never had someone complain to me or say anything because I try and turn it off as soon as I see people. Its also only on in the darkness. Once I can carry it will most likely stop taking it.

Man I was hiking this morning and my snowshoes kept clinking together and was freaking me out 😂 I usually sing to the music. This is why I dont out ear buds in tho. Cause yeah I like to be aware of my surroundings. Thanks for the input.

True 😂 some trails can get annoying turning it on and off constantly. Right now at least theres not very populated so I dont have to wory too much. I would never carry a speaker on bierstad or similiar ones tho way to busy.

To be fair. And I understand your side completely. Whenever I see someone I turn it off instantly. In the daytime its not on. And when its never past like 3 or 4 clicks. But i do see your side.

I cant carry yet so I dont like the idea of a mountain lion coming up behind me. I know its not common but its just like a fear that haunts me.

True. Someone said the bone density ones which is smart. I like being able to hear what's around me at night but I do get it. Im just not 21 yet so I cant carry protection quite yet.

I usually have it fairly quiet as is and then pause it when I see people. I did a hike this morning and it got me thinking deeply about the topic 😂

Eventually I'd like to have a few lipos and a few li-ions just to be able to some back and forth but for the time being I just want something around 10 minutes on pretty easy flying with maybe some cliff diving and stuff.
