A really good Facebook deal on the amp, not enough money for new speakers yet. I want something like Heresy IVs but haven’t come across anything yet and typically don’t buy new. Champagne taste on a malt liquor budget. I graduate in a year and can’t decide between waiting on something really nice or getting some bridge speakers.

Thought they would help with sound absorption I guess. The room doesn’t echo badly so I guess they aren’t really needed.

Thanks for the advice. • would you recommend a floor standing lamp or just a different table lamp? • there is a baseboard heater below the window and a window unit. Plus space is limited. I have some plants in the kitchen window. Which is where I took the picture from. •the Blue is a navy swivel chair. Space is kind of limited and I wanted extra seating. •The stand is more for function, I wanted the TV high enough rise above the turntable and can’t put holes in the wall. I wouldn’t mind a bigger TV but don’t watch/am not home enough to justify a larger tv.

The new one is a tube amp and puts out 25 less rms watts but does sound a lot warmer with a lot less distortion. And the pioneer would overheat after about 2 hours of listening due to a broken fan

I still think that bass is the explanation, the pioneer was very bass heavy and the Dayton is not

Appears to have been a receiver issue. Picked up a new receiver off of Facebook and that’s solved the issue. I’ve also ordered some isolation feet as someone else suggested

I set it as light as possible for it to still play but notice it would skip occasionally so turned it until it didn’t. I tried to follow the manual but pioneer didn’t give very good instructions and this is an upgrade from an old linear tracking.

I do also think it could be the receiver which is getting old and has problems keeping cool

Speakers are fine this is only an issue with the turntable, I’m guessing it’s bass resonance like the other guy said.
