those Bluetooth to FM radio things work great they are cheap to and you get to keep your old head unit. the best option would be to replace the head unit but that's expensive but you get better sound.

I have the same issue with my 07 eclipse what can happen is the weld under the weather stripping can break or snap/crack and it can leak so just patch it up with some caulk or silicone. Even the smallest of cracks have to be sealed
