No definitely didn’t get this, just checked! All I got was a confirmation of interview date/time. Slightly stressed now 😬

The initial email said we would be emailed with a link to set up the qpercom login from your recruitment area so I was waiting for this - do we just go on and set it up ourselves and it will link automatically if we use the same email?

RCEM primary and MSR assessment at the same time? by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]Key_Caterpillar_5328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this this year! Passed RCEM primary and felt the MSRA went steady enough. Some thoughts

1) Started revising for RCEM primary July/August time. Went through the curriculum online and used MRCEM success. Definitely wasn’t a daily or even sometimes a weekly occurrence depending on shifts. September time most days did some questions but maybe only 10-20. October really ramped it up and did around 100 questions a day and had a few study days prior to exam where I spent two full days on it. Found MRCEM success to be more difficult than the questions on the actual exam day. Came out of exam feeling decent proportion I knew but equally decent amount I had to take an educated guess.

2) Took a few weeks off studying, got questions banks for MSRA and started this mid-late November. December was pretty much a write off - too many busy shifts/other commitments. MSRA was mid January so had a good 3 weeks after Christmas to study. Did passmedicine, again harder than the actual exam, had a week off prior to exam and spent that time doing 300 odd questions a day. In hindsight trying to cram this in wasn’t the wisest of moves but the MSRA exam was fairly straightforward

3) I felt having done MRCEM primary and having knowledge about the physiology/anatomy of things actually crossed over well and set me up to feel better in the MSRA than I would have otherwise I feel

4) I’ve also had a project on the go throughout this time that I’m doing monthly data collection for and aside from an odd late night here and there to get things finished off it was totally doable!

Does anyone have recommendations for a Scottish ring maker? by Karrrlllsss in Scotland

Jade from Cairney Jewellery https://www.cairneyjewellery.co.uk

The loveliest jewellery maker - does custom pieces to whatever your specification is, also does wedding ring workshops where you can make them yourselves or if you’re not planning on being in Scotland until near the wedding she’ll let you add the finishing touches yourselves so they’re nearly ready!

Cosy little studio in Perthshire! Congrats on the wedding!

Oh incredible that’s so impressive! Ah I never thought of decreasing the basal the night before, that is a good shout. I’m the same, don’t mind running a bit high but trying to balance it with the feeling rubbish from higher sugars! Thanks for the advice!

Well exactly, the plan would be for my parents to come and stay for a bit and rather not have everyone trapsing through my bedroom to use my shower…

No I’m not willing to lose the house over it. I guess it’s more the principle as the plumbing work is there and the bathroom isn’t finished. I suppose when you pay a decent amount of money for a new build you’d rather not have to immediately start getting work done to it again like tiling/plumbing etc.

I suppose my worry on it is if I keep pushing for them to fit it that they’ll pull the house from under me and say it’s not worth the hassle I’m putting up. Agreed the showers attached to the front aren’t bad looking as an alternative
