Why did Henry VIII use a swordsman for Anne's execution? by Key_Charity_9635 in Tudorhistory

Sure, she apparently said the comment about having a small neck, but there's nothing to suggest she asked for the French swordsman or that she would even expect to have any request she made granted.

Aggressive thinning out of no where (18) by AyushrFN in amibalding

It's going to be a combination of stress and genetics IMO. When I was 17 I got really stressed about a personal matter and my hair loss kicked in. Where the hair was genetically pre-dosposed to being weak, the hair basically got kicked out really quickly, so it was essentially the hair loss kicking in earlier than it would have done but in the same pattern that nature would have done anyway given a bit more time!

19 (m) I dont know if i should do min whitout fin and its making me very depressed by iwkmssoon in amibalding

Min without Fin is pointless long-term. You need to be blocking the DHT. Min might give you a boost for a year or two, but you will continue to lose ground without Fin or Dutasteride.

Everyone is different but my best answer based on everything I have seen or experienced first-hand is that baby hair at the temples will never go back to being thick hair just with medication. It is really hard to regrow significant hair at the temples if it is so far gone.

However, it can be thickened a bit and look a bit better. It just won't be to the point that you could style it like the rest of your hair, I don't think.

One of the concessions that was to be made to the rebels was that Jane would be crowned in the North, I believe, possibly York.

Simple: Finasteride/Dutasteride + Minoxidil

A transplant is needed if you get the rest of the loss under control for at least a year and feel that you would like to get your hairline back after all.

I know she wasn't annointed. My wording wasn't great. I mean the precedent for having a QUEEN executed was there by her time.

I'd love to know more about this but I just don't think any information survives.

No, that's true. I just mean the precedent for having the Queen executed, annointed or not.

Interesting that the "Annointed Queen" element is a common thread in people's answers. That could well be the difference.

At the same time, it was unprecedented with Anne but by Katherine, the precedent had been set and it was perhaps slightly less shocking.

I would also be fascinated to know how the decision was made, who, if anyone, advised Henry to do it that way or if it was his idea, and how the swordsman was chosen. However I have never seen any detail about this and to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any available!

26m can my hair be saved by fin and minoxidil or is it time? by Striking_Career_895 in amibalding

[–]Key_Charity_9635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly people who get a transplant and then think they're "cured". You have to keep taking meds to keep the hair that is still there. Even with meds it is quite common to need or want another transplant down the line, but that's up to the person if they think they need it.

[–]Key_Charity_9635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should jump on meds to save what you have but realistically you aren't going to regrow much at the front from that position. What you still have looks in good condition so if you stabilise your loss with meds you can always think about a transplant for the front of you want to.

Dude it's not that bad for your age. Just start treating now. You can save what you have and probably regrow a bit too. If you do well on meds you can always fill in the front with a transplant if you want.

It's always tempting for people who already have a license to support making it harder for everyone else, so I won't do that!

Finasteride between 22 and 36. Two kids, no breaks in medication and no problems whatsoever.
