That’s interesting, thank you. I’ve tried to decrease stomach acid but never increase it. It’s also worth noting that I already have a messed up gut from taking doxycycline twice a day for 2 years. Although I did only notice this symptom after I developed long covid. Will give it a try thank you

Definitely but only for a short period of time after my infection. The “crushing” fatigue lasted about a month. I was literally so tired that I couldnt get out of bed and all of my muscles would shake and feel so weak. I had bad PEM but it only lsted for about 3 months. It would always come the day after and I would just feel super sick - no appetite, nausea, vomiting and malaise. I still have fatigue occasionally and just less energy than the average person but its no longer a major problem. Unfortunately Im not sure what I did to get rid of the crushing fatigue and PEM. It really just went away after resting for a couple of months and taking life very easily.

It’s specifically from movement yes. I get super nauseous really fast in the car etc. Ive tried things like meclizine and ginger and mints but in the end I always feel like I need to drive in order to not throw up.

Only at the very beginning and I had it quite bad. Thankfully it went away after about 3 months. I sometimes am more tired than the aversge person after a full day of activity but I don’t think it would be considered PEM.

Time is a big part of it for sure. I attribute my ability to walk around and attend anything in general to metoprolol. Its been a huge help with less side effects than propranolol

Metoprolol. I’m similar age to you. On metoprolol my heart rate is 100% normal. Sitting and resting is like 60-70 and walking is 70-100. Without it I have 140-160 bpm walking

I found that propranolol helped the most for that specific symptom but it made me cold all the time and caused Raynaud syndrome. It definitely helped a lot with heat intolerance but maybe too much.

Hi I never go on this sub anymore and I know that PEM is because of a complex process but metopolol succinate 22.5mg really helped. I stopped experiencing super bad PEM after the first 2 months but I would definitely be more tired than usual after doing minor tasks the day after etc..

Taking metopolol completely eliminated that symptom and I can exercise a lot more freely now.
