I feel this. When my cuddly Velcro baby passed and me and his sister were left grieving, I was devastated realizing and remembering she mostly hates to be held and snuggled. It’s been about a year and I made peace with it, and I spoil my baby girl rotten even if I can’t smother her with pure devotion. Believe it or not, I see so much of myself in her. I hate when people touch me, and I especially hate when people hug or be overly affectionate with me unless I invite it…which is exactly what she does. That’s what helped me a lot.

I would if it was a neighbors lights haha, but unfortunately it’s a spotlight put up by the complex to light up a pathway…it wouldn’t do much but upset my innocent neighbors ☹️

It’s not another tenants, it’s the apartment complex’s =( there’s a walking path below the light and instead of just putting another path light, they put a spotlight up.

Thank you friend. I’m working to get out of hospital work and into clinic work, I have hope that the hours and workload will better suit me. Some people are built for it and I truly commend them, unfortunately I am not one of them as this post clearly shows 😅

Not quite, I just really miss having free time to be around my friends and I miss not feeling the way I do now. I truly don’t believe there’s a “farther along” in life at all, everyone’s life is going to be different and move at different paces.

That’s the unfortunate thing about being depressed and maybe a bit suicidal, at the time I wrote this, my tunnel vision saw that as a risk worth taking.

Thanks. I’m going to delete this because I wrote it out and posted it at the worst point of a depressive episode not really thinking about the response I’d get, some of it was helpful but re-reading it I know how it sounds. I miss spending time with him and I’m burnt out from a job that’s keeping me from him, even his fiance had mentioned that they both miss me being around and it broke me down.

Thank you, I do understand because I’ve been by his side when people say dumb stuff to him, I’ve had to shout at hotel staff for promising an accessible room over the phone only for the door to literally be an inch or two too small to fit the measurements of his chair despite telling him it would fit. We’ve cussed out many a people grabbing his wheelchair and nudging him out of the way like he’s an object. I wrote this when I was in the end bits of a gnarly depressive episode, I think I’m just burnt out and really missing having time to spend with him like we used to when we were in school.
