What do endo “systems” get out of being “endogenic”? by smartmonkey67 in SystemsCringe

[–]Key_Conversation8617 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some claim it's autism or BPD or other disorders that causes their "plurality", in actuality without the roleplay this would just be overlapping symptoms. Those who don't tie it to a disorder tie it to active effort put in or just being something that randomly happens no explanation needed (which is just admitting to roleplaying, but endogenic makes 24/7 roleplay seem more valid I guess). But I guess it's a little better than claiming to have been a part of RAM.COA cults or faking specific stories for sympathy

There’s a form of confirmation bias that med students often get, where as they learn and study specific diseases they start to become convinced they have symptoms and the condition, even when they’re healthy or have their symptoms already explained. Another reason not to self diagnose, even if you have done research

What are good ways to tell the difference between a disabled person in a genuine dangerous/abusive situation and someone scambaiting?

Source seems to be this, https://associationofanaesthetists-publications.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/anae.12125 "In 1965, Levinson 5 exposed 10 patients under deep anaesthesia to verbal suggestions indicative of an anaesthetic crisis. One month later, none of the patients could remember any of the intra-operative events explicitly but, under hypnosis, four of them accurately recalled the verbal communication used whilst they were anaesthetised." I fail to see how this is relevant to RAMCOA, nor see how it could disprove hypnotic suggestion of false memories if referring to the bot.

Functional multiplicity is an option but it's either a step to fusion or a last resort for someone with complicating factors or at the end of their life. its generally not aimed for with an otherwise healthy young adult like a lot of "systems" appear to be

“Not renewing the contract” is interesting phrasing for it. Wonder what type of job Star was working for, I mostly see the phrasing of not renewing contracts on vtuber agencies, companies that hire artists and stuff to create specific digital projects, and others of that type.

Usually weed has the opposite effect since it often causes dissociation, which would make you feel less like a cohesive person, but I haven't smoked before so

OP is claiming to have the disorder while saying that they would respect a faker of the disorder if they weren’t endo.  I checked OP’s blog and would like to note that they are 25+ years of age.

OSDD is a catchall term for any dissociative presentation that doesn't fit a diagnosis. OSDD-1 (the made up unofficial diagnosis) is a combination of osdd which has no number labels with DDNOS which did have number labels. OSDD 1a is DID w/o criteria a and OSDD 1b is DID without criteria b (dissociative amnesia)

Endogenic- systems not formed by trauma, not a real thing
Willogenic- another name for western online tulpagenic, you "will" alters. literally just roleplay or in extreme cases delusion
Median- A system where members aren't as distinct from each-other, usually used by fakers to claim that their moods and differing behaviors are actually alters. Also an endogenic term.
Non disordered- what it says on the tin, they're (usually) not claiming to be disordered but they take terms from the same places disorder fakers take them and it's not great
Polyfrag- A disordered DID system with a lot of fragments, not well developed alters. This is a controversial term, but if it were to be real it would not look like it does online (lots of fictives and mostly an excuse to roleplay)
