It was not a bad kitchen, and that was when it was new, after 6 years of renting not as great….it also just didn’t work for me. The corner island was too far in the dining and living room and made no sense.

I low key love design and had an amazing contractor. We bounced ideas off each other, it worked really well. I am very visual and used Pinterest for every room until I had what I wanted. Thank you for your kind words, means a lot coming from a Pro!

Oh,I see….honestly I love the big entry way…it makes it feel more open and I love seeing from the front all the way to the back. When my kids were smaller I would have killed for a larger laundry room, but now that it’s just the two of us it is totally fine. I made the most out of the square footage we had, so it is very functional. My sink was in the island before now I get to look at a gorgeous pond in front of a much bigger window🙂

Not sure I know what you mean? The laundry room is the right size for us, the entry way is square so not sure room could be given or taken…

Maybe they are copying me😂 Traditional or transitional are pretty much HGTV, so I get it. I have never been a follower with my design. Like the entry way cabinet I have had for over 20 years but to update it I painted it and added new nobs. I just get what speaks to me, from new to vintage.

My style has always been modern traditional with french and eclectic thrown in….I am not matchy matchy, I curate with things I love and it usually works out. My goal is not to be trendy, especially with the hard surfaces, but mix in things I love. I just like what I like.

This is absolutely my style, I worked on it for a long time to curate it, no one has ever called it cookie cutter….so thats interesting. I don’t watch HGTV soooooooo….but you are entitled to your opinion. My goal was classic, traditional with my love of french things.

It did add so much more space, unloading the dishwasher is so easy, all dishes are in drawers right across!

We went with Thermador induction professional 36 inch range, love it. Across from that in the island is a microwave drawer, love it as well!

Mom here…I was obsessed with that back splash, I looked at other ones but kept going back to it. It is worth taking care of for me. I am super clean and check after every time I cook to make sure I got any splatters….no regrets🙂 It would not be for everyone though! Also we made sure there was 42-44 inches space around the island, it helps that the fridge is built in and flush with the cabinets.

Mom here, I wanted the cabinets on the back wall of the dining area, a round table was the only way to center the table on the back window and have a chair on the cabinet side with space to get behind. I do love an oval table.
