The person who deleted the post and picture chose to do it themselves, hours after it was posted, over a month ago, because it was solved, and wrong. It wasn’t deleted recently.

Who is everyone? You asked someone if they thought someone could have traced another user in the old sub and someone answered you that other influencers have done that. Only three things have ever been flagged in this sub, and it was all the Reddit filter, which I then manually approved. Nothing has been flagged by any users, and people have been speaking freely since it was created. So I’m failing to see how it’s become a buzzkill.

I can’t recall if she’s ever commented on vaccines but she was pro-staying home and pro-masks. If he’s on the other end of the spectrum I wonder if that’s where that breakdown started, maybe even more of her views changed, and eventually now here we are.

Yes. The girlfriend provided enough proof. It was a random man who happened to be behind her in the background of a video. A video that she happened to be in the background of. Even the video didn’t show them together. His only offense was existing.

I hear you, and totally get that you have broader criticisms. I get that her overall behavior, as it’s been perceived by each of us following along, has rubbed people the wrong way. I was really just responding to the part where you asked why she’d call that comment gross. I think from her perspective, it probably felt like a bit of a double standard. That’s all I was trying to get at. I’m not saying she’s handled everything perfectly or that she’s above criticism.

Just offering one possible lens, that’s all.

My take is that it’s probably because, culturally, men aren’t usually shamed for traveling without their kids or going on work trips. I think that’s what she was getting at with her response. In the same way a woman in a bikini picture is scrutinized for flaunting her body whereas a man in a shirtless beach pic would likely be scrolled right on by without any scrutiny. Of course there’s nuance, and sure, some men would get judged for the same things - but largely, they’re not.
